The Grid Games

The Grid Games in Manchester, CT is hosting its first Legacy cash tournament. Attendance at this event will shape future Legacy and possibly Vintage events in Connecticut.

Prize support for this event if there are a minimum of 12 players, which we all know always happens, will be over $300 in cash and cards. Why am I holding my first Legacy tournament on a Sunday, because I care about players and working with other TOs and not competing against other events.

Indeed, poor date choice. The 27th or Oct 4th weekends would be better.

Sadly, I'll be going to the RI tourney as well. I do want to see more Legacy in CT though.

The whole point to Karl picking Sunday is so people can attend both events. I'll be at both and will gladly become a hundredaire. Hopefully other people will be man enough to go back to back.

I can't go to Saturday's tourney, so this one on Sunday get the choice, plus it's a lot closer. Here to more Legacy in CT, thanks Karl

So, anyone passing near Middletown to go to this? If yes, do you have a deck I could borrow?

I'd be willing to chip in a little for gas, obviously. PM me if you could give me a lift.

Does anyone actually do this? With gas prices and social lives being what they are, back-to-backing I'm sure is far less frequent than you think and you would be better served to move the tournament.

Jaynel, there are quite a few folks in the middletown area that are going to this event. So car pooling seems highly probably...unless you're one of those smelly magicians ;-)

Nice, to see more CT legacy. I will most likely be attending. I like the idea of Sunday tournaments.

As long as nobody gives Jaynel a Survival deck, I'm going to be there.

The people who offered me a ride to this never called me so I woke up late :p

What were the results?

I would like to thank everyone who showed up for our inaugural Legacy tournament at The Grid Games. I hope all involved enjoyed the experience and will be back again next month. My plan is to host a cash Legacy tournament every month as Legacy seems to be lacking in the Connecticut area. The next tournament is scheduled for October 11th at 1pm. Hope to see you all here.
