creatures//12
4 tarmogoyf
4 dark confidant
2 vendilion clique
2 trygon predator
artifacts//11
3 engineered explosives
3 chrome mox
2 executioner's capsule
3 vedalken shackles
spells//17
2 thirst for knowledge
3 repeal
4 spell snare
4 ponder
4 remand
lands//20
1 breeding pool
1 watery grave
1 swamp
1 forest
4 polluted delta
4 flooded strand
7 island
1 seat of the synod
sideboard//
2 krosan grip
4 staff of progentitus
2 putrefy
2 pithing needle
3 (something)
2 submerge
The deck is extremely tempo based, and utilizes some of the strongest cards in the format... some things I am fearful of:
With the rise of agro and such, cards like remand and repeal aren't as strong of tempo tools as against control decks.
The deck has a very versatile way of dealing w/ opposing permanents:
repeal/trygon/explosives for artifacts... Shackles/explosives/capsule/repeal for creatures... a few counterspells, and some efficient beats/engines (DC/thirst/repeal/remand/ponder all draw cards... allowing you to keep up with most threats out there.
IDK how powerful this deck really is, but I have played a few MWS games and it has done pretty well (losing to faeries once, beating zoo and tron once).
Comments/critiques appreciated!
