...sort of. Help me.
I'm not exactly sure where a good starting point would be, though...
Thoughts/Suggestions?

In the future you might want to try an agricultural or civil engineering forum.

@nitewolf9- Seriously. I don't want this thread to get closed.
@XSivPSI- I didn't want to go that route, exactly. That combo kind of complicates things, especially since they're both artifacts, one being a creature. I was actually thinking along the lines of using cards with the sole purpose of milling.

I had a deck with...
Jace/Standstill/Glimpse the Unthinkable/Manlands/CB/Top/lots of counters
Basically a landstill setup with Jace and Glimpse in it.

Whatever, that was actually pretty funny.
If you're looking at mill cards one place to start is Glimpse the Unthinkable and maybe...Traumatize? Then you can play some sort of UB, maybe UBw control shell with stuff like Damnation and Swords and a bunch of other creature control. And no creatures of your own so that your opponent's removal is dead. Or you could be cute and play Guiltfeeder.

@nitewolf9- Yeah...it was funny, but I'm not trying to get a thread locked...
@Nessaja- Thanks for the idea. I was thinking about a Counter-Top shell.
On an similarly mentioned idea, How about a Counter-Top shell with Painter/Grindstone?

Hi. (http://mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11052)
Hello nurse. That's pretty sweet.
Either way, I still want to use GtU and maybe Traumatize.

The current competitive choices for milling in legacy are:
Painter's Servant/Grindstone
Brain Freeze
There's the enchantress combo of:
Solitary Confinement + Squee
Permanant Waves offers decking through
Mass Mana + Stroke of Genius/Braingeyser
Sunrise Eggs can deck with
Cephalid Coloseum + Recursion
Since this is the casual forum, you could also look at:
Helm of Obedience+Leyline of the Void
Forced Fruition
Grimoire Theif
Bitter Ordeal
Jester's Scepter + Recursion
Magus of the Jar + Shallow Grave/Necromancy
Drowner of Secrets + Stonybrook Schoolmaster + Intruder Alarm
Thought Lash + Donate/Puca's Mischief

Use the black route. Extirpate and Haunting Echoes. If you Glimpse twice then Haunting Echoes... that pretty much wrecks a lot of decks. When you Haunting Echoes, ONLY take out the cards that are useful against you. If you run no creatures, leave the Swords to Plowshares for example. I don't really mill a person's deck, I just make it useless.
Try to make a sanity grind legacy port
UUUUU (sanity grind + Twin cast) --> mill 40+ on turn 5 (unless you run accel but then the grind becomes kind of suck) is pretty much a two card win combo.... not really but....
4 Sanity grind
4 Twincast
4 Cryptic Command
4 Force of Will
4 Counterspell
4 Boomerang
4 Memory Plunder
4 Plumeveil
4 Godhead of Awe
3 Overbeing of Myth
17 Island
4 Shellshock island
not that great especially for a legacy deck...but still pretty fun...winning by grinding an opponent without using a certain stone gives you a lot of satisfaction

Or play stasis, like already said
Jace, Stasis, Orb of Dreams (or other random 'permanents cipt'), Forsaken City to keep stasis up, howling mine to keep the city going and chronatog to skip all your turns while your opponent mills himself.

There is also Memory Erosion which can be quite devastating in conjunction with Glimpse, Brain Freeze and Haunting Echoes. The rest of the deck would be only counters and black removal I guess.

You could run B/G/R Truffle Shuffle with Burning Wish for a 1x Haunting Echoes.
Or Solidarity. Or Mighty Quinn.
Dan's mah hero, by the way.

Oh yeah:
Ornithopter + Grinding Station + Dimininshining Returns
The Legacy Weapon

Try mesmeric Orb. My friend has a mill deck the runs 4 of these and it really starts to hurt as the game goes on especially if he gets multiple orbs.

Oh yeah:
Ornithopter + Grinding Station + Dimininshining Returns
It's truly impressive the number of ways in which this is strictly worse than Painter-Grindstone.
It's like Lightning Bolt vs. Zap and Maralen of the Mornsong is in play.
