Hey, I've never played EDH before but Uril, the Miststalker has motivated me :)

I've thrown together pretty quickly a bunch of the best enchantments and creatures with synergy that I could find. Do I have the right ratio of creatures to enchantments to lands for this type of deck? It should play out similar to Enchantress, just a lot less consistent :) It is designed for multiplayer, however I want to still be competitive in 1v1.

What do you think? Am I missing anything? What does an EDH newb need to know to get started? Does Rune-tail still trigger at 30 life in EDH?

Not playing Runes of the Deus seems silly. Same goes for Shield of the Oversoul. I checked your list three times to make sure I was right they were not there. Uril, the Miststalker gaining Indestructibility really cuts off their options. Remember there will be a point where it is you and one other person standing, and it no longer matters if their is a huge target on your head. Also, everyone wants to see you slap Runes of the Deus on Uril. If you don't people will be disappointed. I would.

Edit: you do have shield, I'm sorry. You should still live the dream and run Runes!

Lol Willow. Dunno about that... sexy but I would probably run Ledgewalker first...

Cloak just isn't as good as Spirit Loop or Daybreak Coronet here. Runes of the Deus is just an overcosted Battle Mastery that only works on Uril. I do include Oversoul, because indestructible is goooood.

I removed Survival/Genesis. Seemed weak and inconsistent.

Yeah that should probably go in.

I also decided the extra Aura targets were veering on the danger of cool things, so I took them out entirely.

EDH decks should have at least 40 mana sources??? That's what i've always learned.

depends on the mana accel 36 will be my minimum,

also flickerform really makes uril impossible to beat. And don't forget rune of the deus and the white/red one.

Big Update (5-21-09):

Took out a lot of bad cards. Manabase no longer contains any money cards like duals and fetches (just not worth it, rather keep them in my legacy decks).

More auras. Better auras. Like Kithkin Armor and Keen Sense. Epic Proportions made the cut just because it can end games.

Condemn and Chastise instead of Swords and Path. Duh.
