A lot of these only return creatures from your yard to play. Think it might be worth looking into a couple that do from any grveyard to play?

Not a ton out there. I have the following that do any yard:

Animate Dead
Dance of the Dead
Reanimate
Rise from the Grave
Puppeteer Clique
Coffin Queen
Chainer
Ink-Eyes (she has to connect)
Lim-Dul

If there are any I missed please tell.

Lim-Dul is fucking awesome. As a fellow LD player, I approve! Will update this post with my list when I get around to it.

I'm also looking at Call to the Grave.

The thing with Corpse Dance is the creature gets RFGed and I don't have a ton of sac outlets.

Nezumi Graverobber seems like it could fit here, both as a way to deal with recursion, or rise from the grave on a stick. In multiplayer there's almost always someone with more permanents than spells, and if you can get out the graverobber before too many sweepers have passed, you shouldn't have much trouble flipping him.

Necromancy, Beacon of Unrest, and to a lesser degree Ashen Powder will also work for you, but I feel like they need less introduction, as the way they play out should be more obvious.

Necromancy, Beacon of Unrest

Don't know how I missed those two. Thankyou.

Also I'll get Graverobber in there. Plus a few others. I will update the list when I get a chance.

Updated list:
-1x Swamp
Throat Slitter
Exhume
Stir the Grave

+Call to the Grave
Nezumi Graverobber
Necromancy
Beacon of the Unrest

have you tested phyrexian tower? it seems good for a mono black deck.

have you tested phyrexian tower? it seems good for a mono black deck.

It really doesn't fit what I want to do with the deck. I want to keep the best fatties from everone else's yards and most often times they will be killed in sweeper or other sorcey speed removal.

It would combo well with a few cards in here, it's just not worth it.

All the non-basic lands are probably unnecessary, I basically went and included any nonbasic that seemed remotely useful.

For my creatures, I tried to stick to big fatties that kill things (Avatar of Woe, Kalitas) and creatures that have fun abilities when they come in or leave play that are fun to recur (Nekrataal, Shriekmaw, Gravedigger, etc.).

For my removal, I opted mostly for the global sort, simply so I could pick and choose the best guys on the table to keep for myself.

The two cards with transmute find quite a lot of answers in the deck, including, but not limited to Yawgmoth's Will, Necropotence, Phyrexian Arena, Loxodon Warhammer, and others.

The artifacts are mostly general purpose and utility. Some removal, some draw, some equipment.

All in all, I like the way it shapes up and can't wait to get all the pieces and play it.

Updated the opening post. Deck has been a work in progress and not getting to play to much Edh hasn't helped. I think the deck is about 95-99% there. There is still a few cards I want to get in there but not sure where to get them in.
