Just thinking about a fun pumpable creature deck. Any suggestions on better instants/sorceries that I should use?

That's a good one, I will try to fit it in.

Probably -4 Flame Slash +4 Manamorphose

Consider Isochron Scepter too, as that would help you not run out of gas.

Snap might also be useful for getting, say, Tarmogoyfs or Ionas out of the way and letting you play more spells.

I'm working on a deck like this and I think that Double Cleave is pure awesome. At least +3/+3, and that's if you it is the only spell on a Wee Dragonaut, and in many situations it is much better, like on a Kiln Fiend after bolting their blocker. :D
