Awesome work as usual, we all appreciate it. Interesting to see a non-blue deck, specifically goblins, take it in your meta.

Awesome videos like always :)

I have 2 questions though, mostly about your metagame. Watching several months back I haven't seen a single zoo placing in top 8. Whats up with that? People don't like to play zoo over in Spain, or does it get trumped down by bant?
What about Ichorid? Not a popular deck, not good enough pilots or too many graveyard hate?

keep up the great work and thanks for videos

why did the new horizons player STP the spellstutter sprite instead of token w/ the jitte on it in g3??Because he had Enginereed Explosives in hand to destroy the rest os tokens, but he didn't draw a land.

Every month the metagame breakdown is published, this is the April's one (Number of decks, Name of the deck, Average points of the deck, place in the Top 8 if reached):

9 ANT: 8,6; T8
8 Progenitus Bant: 12,5; T8, T8
8 Merfolks: 11,3; F
8 Faeries: 10,9; T4
5 Naya Zoo: 6,2
3 Bant: 11,3
3 Team America: 10,3
3 Goblins: 10
3 Reanimator: 9,7; T4
3 Survival: 9
2 Supreme Blue: 16; C
2 SuperGro: 14; T8
2 Next Level Threshold: 11,5
2 Mono Green Progenitus: 9
2 Eva Depths: 8,5
1 Thopter Counterbalance: 15
1 CounterTop Painters: 13
1 Landstill: 13
1 Enchantress: 12
1 Imperial Painters: 12
1 Reliquary Loam: 12
1 Solidarity: 12
1 Survival Bant: 12
1 G/W Progenitus: 9
1 Thopter Painters: 9
1 Canadian Threshold: 8
1 Rock: 7
1 Burning Dryad: 6
1 Dredge: 6
1 U/W Fish: 6
1 Planeswalkers Control: 5
1 Elves: 3
1 Mystic Control: 3

As you can see there were 5 Naya Zoo, before GP Madrid Zoo was one of the most played decks but then (I don't know why) most zoo players changed the deck. Also, as you can see, there are 8 Faeires, in fact Faestalker. This deck has a good matchup vs. zoo and after the GP it's number of player has increased a lot. The high number of ANT is obviously another reason.

Dredge in my opinion is a bad deck because you can beat it very good with your sideboard, so if you see the most used cards in sideboard this tournament you can understand why people don't use this deck:

Top 10 sideboards:
124 Krosan Grip
102 Spell Pierce
83 Relic of Progenitus
79 Tormod's Crypt
55 Firespout
36 Extirpate
31 Mindbreak trap
25 Ethersworn Canonist
24 Path to Exile
24 Hydroblast
24 Perish

I hope you have understand me despite of my english

Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your quick answer and your English is more than good.
Well to be fair, high amount of ANT (yet not really in top 8?) explains the absence of zoo.

However, to make my point about Ichorid - basically of that list the only scary thing is extirpate and there seem to be not that much of it, there is also almost no leylines of the void in sideboards. IMO, and from my experience - Ichorid is a deck that should win in over 80% of first game, so basically you have to focus on g2 and g3. I've seen a solid pilot beating through 2 relics, 1 crypt and tons of merfolks in a single game with smart play (only thing that can really screw you is unlucky dredge).

And remember there are different metagames in Spain, and Zoo is quite popular in, for example, Madrid.

Hi nice videos as usual. Just wondering from the rest of your videos, how come you just put their health at +20 when they go over? I was just wondering, coz sometimes I am curious as to how much health they really do have. Other than that, great video as usual, everything easy to see, and good cut with the brainstorms and ponders.

I kinda envy your meta lol. Where I play majority of what I see is either, tendrils-based combo, reanimator, and definitely a huge amount of Bant players, though there's a few different decks here and there, but the amount of Bant I see is just so annoying.

I'm sorry but I think that the +20 label is enough, if you want to know the real life you can pick up a pen and a paper and count it by yourself, I'm too lazy :D

I think that the metagame is diverse due to the high number of players, over 100 every month.

Updated with videos of the final.

Thanks for videos, nice with the fast updates.

In G2 of the finals the Goblins player should have tapped his Vial when his opponent blew up EE@1. Maybe he could have baited the Stifle and then he wouldn't get his Gempalm stifled on the following turn.

Yes and in G3 he should respond activating Siege Gang Commander in response of the Lightning Bolt

Yeah exactly, I was wondering why he did not just throw SGC in response to bolt, and then win w/ tokens on his turn.
