My very first EDH deck was an Intet deck because I've always had a fondness for UGR. I enjoy playing with this combination because it is very colorful and aesthetically pleasing, but also the strengths of each color compliment another well. My first Intet deck, however, fell down the slipper slope of brokeness, and I abandoned it shortly after. I tweaked the deck into an unfun combo deck and didn't enjoy playing it at all. Since it has been awhile and I still would love have an Intet deck, I'm trying to start over. I chose a different direction to go with the deck and have tried to not add the more degenerate instant win comboes. Here it is.

Like all my EDH first drafts, it is over the limit. I need to make 14 cuts and am struggling to at the moment without being able to play with it. But anyway, let's talk about the deck.

Intet was mainly chosen for the colors. That was my main thing. However, Intet still has a great ability and meshes well with what the deck does anyway, so it works well. I have its ability as an important piece to the deck and many cards are in here for the sole purpose of abusing her.

My goal for the deck is to set up fast and be consistent at it. I hate playing EDH and starting slow because you can't find the right colors or and mana screwed. 40 lands, Expedition Map, STE, Wood Elves, Solemn Simulacrum, Sol Ring, Kodama's Reach, Cultivate, Skyshroud Claim, and Explosive Vegetation is a lot of mana, fixing, and ramp. After that just play with the best cards in UGR for a nice blue aggro control survival deck, much like Bant Survival (</3).

So any ideas or thoughts on what to cut?

I read this recent article on SCG about an Intet EDH deck:

http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/multiplayer/21789_99_Problems_Intent_On_Intet.html

It addresses a lot of your concerns; the author basically tries to make an Intet deck that is focused, competitive, versatile and fun but not broken or unlikeable to other players. I am most likely going to put a list together similar to his and test it a bit this weekend. I'll give you some of my own thoughts then, but I suggest you read the article!
