Krark-Clan Ironworks is the shit for Mono Brown EDHs. Its hard not to cast your big boy on turn 4 once you draw it and any other acclerator.

I prefer Kozilek or Karn as a general as Kozilek is 1 mana cheaper and 2 power bigger. He kills in 2 swings instead of 3. With the 4 cards you draw you can easily recast him after they blow him up the next turn, but I can see the advantages of Ulamog as well.

Got some nice ideas out of your list. Perhaps I also missed it while watching through your list, but you seem to be missing Doubling Cube, its pretty good.

As an alternate win condition, Myr Incubator has been amazing for me. Play it on your turn, sac it in their eot and you can kill 2 players at the same time with it. There is a lot of Sorcery speed mass removal in EDH, but very little instant speed.

Don't have my list here at the moment, but those cards are the best ones I can come up with for you out of my mind. This deck is absolutely brutal and crushes most other EDHs on the spot.

Thx for the advice! however i intentionally didn't insert Ironworks 'cose i will not abuse of it wihtout a recursion combo. This deck was born from another based on Kolizek with a combo approach...there was about 4 infinite mana comboes and didn't work due to the poor tutoring, what you think if i'll try it in this voltron Shell?. However Koliz. and Ulam. are quite similar as you say, while karn is all another deck.

Myr Incubator: nice call too! with unwinding clock it would be easyer too.

I was thinking also to Wand of Denial & Jester's Cap to improve defence, and maybe Null Brooch for countering a counter on my Capitain..

I am not particularly familiar with mono artifact decks so here goes nothing. I think the deck might benefit from the inclusion of Ichor Wellspring as it allows you to lower your curve and potentially draw a total of two cards after white board wipes, Oblivion Stone, Nevinyrral's Disk, and Phyrexia's Core. At the very worst, you just cycled a card. It also powers up Blinkmoth Urn.

You don't seem to have a lot of creatures to recur with the Nim Deathmantle. Has it really been that useful to you?

Lastly, do you think Contagion Engine might be worth a shot? Aside from killing creatures, it interacts well with Karn Liberated, Arcbound Reclaimer, Everflowing Chalice, and Inkmoth Nexus (Poison them out!).

i'm slightly dubious about icor wellspring and his ohter twin (i don't remeber the name). for :2: i cycle a card but i haven't neviniral or oblivion in every game..seems to me like a dead slot, it would be better if i had the chance of abuse of it (like with Goblin Welder).

Contagion Engine: nice i could give it a try, but i need a fast answer to op's threats and Contagion, aside the nice things it does, is slow.

Nim Deathmantle: yes i don't have a lot of creatures but is synergic with everyone...reclaimer auto sac itself and for duplicant i have a bunch of lands that's give me life in exchange.... Do you think is better add some wurmcoil engine/Precursor Golem/su-chi with Ashnod's Altar/Ironworks for infinite mana?

I think Ichor Wellspring is better than you think. In mono brown, some of the cards are a lot better than others and by cycling, it allows you to play better cards over weaker ones at a minimal mana investment. Occasionally, someone (or you) might blow it up.

I am not a fan of infinite anything in EDH but in your deck, you can't even utilize infinite mana as you have nothing to sink it in to. Regardless, Ironworks is a strong card for your deck, combo or not. It has a cool interaction with Spine of Ish Shah letting you cast recurring vindicates for 5. What's even cooler is casting recurring vindicates for 1 with Ironworks + Spine + Sculpting Steel. It's also another card to sacrifice Ichor Wellspring as well!

I would say cut the Nim Deathmantle because even if you have 5 more creatures that interact favorably with it, that number of creatures still won't be enough to make the Deathmantle useful all the time.

i have some doubts about Coalition Relic i think is too slow ( 2 mana every 2 turns) do you think should be replaced? maybe wiht Ironworks but it probabily wants IcorWellspring and some dude to maximize mana output, 'cose i dont want to let my op take a Nx1 advantage. I'm not talking about making infinite mana, but first of all about cards that balance the sacrifice and maybe do inifinite mana. best choices? Suchi 4>6: , Myr Battlesphere 7>10 , Thopter Assembly 6>10 (+Autocomboing +Highest ratio - A turn later) , Precursor Golem 5>6 Wurmcoil Engine 6>6 and everyone goes in combo with NIM

I found Tower of the Magistrateto be one of the best lands in my deck. I am playing against a Godo EDH sometimes and its just bonkers there, making equipment fall of him whenever he attacks.

At the moment I run 40 landsincluding Maze of Ith (which obviously doesn't produce mana). It was quite impressive in my testing, keeping my opponent's general in check or attacking someone with my big boy and pulling him back on defense after the annihilator trigger.

Other cards I'd include: Kuldotha forgemaster, Skyship Weatherlight, Mox Opal.


I'll have to check out the nim deathmantle. Might be really good. Up to now it looked like crap to me, but seems to do quite a lot of handy things when I think about it.

Regarding Ironworks... Battlesphere and Wurmcoil Engine are already in my deck. I guess I will add in Deathmantle and see whether its worth the spot. Pentavus might also be quite good with it.

Khalni Gem looks like trash to me, not even being an acclerator.


At the moment I am testing: Hall of the Bandid Lord, giving our favourite Eldrazi haste, but it seems to suck for the cost of 3 life and coming into play tapped.

Chimeric Mass ain't a bad idea since it dodges all sorcery-speed removal, works great with the Contagion Engine as well.

Back to the forum after summer pause :D with more playtests.
Against blue it was a nightmare...too much counter and nothing to deal with them.
Finallly i decided to take maindeck Defence Grid Null Brooch Mishira Helix that seems to me the only contromeasures that "colorless" has against control. I'm testing olso Rings of Immortals toi doge Bounce/Exile/Tucking spells but i i never played it 'till now.

Other new entry: Myr Welder. I liked it very much, but i'm thinking that the deck needs more recycling cards.

Myr Battlesphere is there only to feed kuldota (i did'n activate him many times :S) and to go infinite with Ironworks & Nim.
