Dana if you top 4 I'll gladly replace the blue duals you would've won for Plateaus, Badlands or Taigas

Alot of people approached me at the ptq (where I lost in top 4!), and told me they were planning on coming to this. Several were people I had not met before, so this was very exciting and made up for me sobbing in a corner after the PTQ ended

I suspect we'll hit 40 players no problem, which means free side event for the foreign black bordered plat. I'll be paying out 9-12th players at over 50 players as well. I even have a bunch of other prizes on hand if we get a surprise bonkers attendance, as that has happened in the past

Not much more to add right now. We've had good weekly attendances on Thursdays leading up to this and Legacy appears to be alot of fun, so hopefully see you on 11/13 for our last big legacy of the year!

I can't state how excited I am for this event

We're expecting a very big turnout. Reg is 12:00-12:50. Anyone registering past that may not be able to get in, and if they are let in will probably receive game loss penalties. I hate giving penalties out, so don't make me

That's pretty much it. You can get a head start on reg by bringing your decklist filled out. It's not required, but definitely recommended and appreciated

Our judging staff is good, as always. That means I'm not the head judge
I think we'll crack 50, at least that's the hope, because I will payout past top 8 over that.

At worst, I think we'll get 40 players no problem... meaning free side event for FBB Plateau. If we don't get to 40 players, that side event will only be $5. Still a good deal if you ask me.

And er, that's really it.

Thanks again for all of your support and see you Sunday!

Solid event, turnout ended up at 68 (I think?). Thanks for putting in the effort dave, it'd be great to see more events like this in the coming months considering starcity won't be around for a while. Also I'm pretty sure your store has some of the best card prices I've seen in a while :D.

68 players showed for the main event!

Top 8 after 6 rounds of swiss was:

1) Joe Robillard 5-1 /w Rock (lent out by me!)

2) Nick Malatesta 5-1 /w Elves (obv)

3) Anderson Boone 5-1 /w GW Hatebear

4) Casey Madrick 5-1 /w RWU counter top

5) Dustin Taylor /w Sword Bant

6) Aahron Verno /w RGU Counter Top

7) Jonno Morawski /w RGU Tempo (also lent out by me )

8) Rick Rodricks /w Malatesta Elves (almost card for card)

Playoffs (PLAYOFFS?!):

Joe beat Rick
Jonno beat Nick
Anderson beat Aahron
and Dustin beat Casey

Top 4 then split the 16 blue duals. 5th-8th received prize upgrades receiving a From the Vault AND $50 credit each! 9th-12th also received 50 credit each :D

Rob Castellon won our 25 player free side event for a foreign black bordered plateau.

I'll have pics and most likely decklists up soon. Thanks for the fantastic turnout! Great final big legacy to go out on in 2011

I'm pretty sure Casey was running the pattern of rebirth/natural order deck, not rug countertop.
