I've never heard of Cascade games and I've been around long enough to remember Dan Gray's TO company. Who are they? Why aren't Sunmesa running the SD area large-MTG events?

Cascade games is Tim Shields, and has run the San Diego ptq's for ever. He also did Gp Oakland and Gp Portland the last two years.

I'm flying in all the way from Boston for GP San Diego, and while I hope to just do well in the GP, I'm going to email the TO to hopefully get a Legacy event happening. It's shameful that there'd be 3 Sealed side-events when the main event is Sealed, as well as 2 Modern events when it's a make-believe format. Standard's excusable, but 2 Modern events and 0 Legacy? Shameful.

What saspook said. Tim is a friend of mine. He is the PTO for San Diego. He has also been the one running things at AX the past three years. I have worked with him a few times, and I emailed him about it before I saw this thread. He told me he is working on it.

Yeah, Tim emailed me back saying he was going to try and fit a Legacy event in on Sunday.
