HUGE LEGACY EVENT on Saturday, December 10th @ 1 pm

$20 entry fee
$350 in prize support minimum - GUARANTEED!

Registration starts @ 11 am (store opening)
Tournament starts @ 1 pm

The November tournament was a blast, we had 19 players show up. Let's try to make this one even better! The legacy community is growing here, so keep it up and help promote a great store.

If we have over 22 players the support will double!

We can easily seat 48 + patrons in our super clean, air conditioned gaming hall.

Tons and tons of Legacy singles in stock including Forces, all duals, Tarmogoyfs, Wastelands, Karakas, Snapcaster Mages, fetch lands, pimp cards and so much more. We also buy and do trades.

We are located in Elmira, NY -- close to Binghamton, Rochester, and Corning NY; as well as Northern PA.

Don't miss this one!

Looks like another solid turn out for this event

Clearly this event should be on the 24th to allow for the most people to be available. But sadly with college I cannot attend this. I honestly wouldn't even know what to play with the way the meta was last time.

Not sure if scheduling a Christmas Eve event would be that great an idea. I for one will be busy tending to Mrs. Clause while her husband is out delivering gifts to all the little boys and girls.

If less than 22 people show up,
1st=125
2nd=100
3rd=75
4th=50
If between 22 and 35 people show up,
1st=225
2nd=150
3rd=100
4th=80
5th=50
6th=40
7th=30
8th=20
Last month the top 4 split and each received 130ish. The number of players has continued to increase month to month and this month won't be any different.

It's weird that 3-4 and 5-8 don't have equal payouts. Typically its just breakers that determine where you end up in those spots and breakers really only show your luck as opposed to skill.

Hey, so I am interested in bringing a car down from rochester and have a couple of questions.

1. Are you using standard tournament structure. Modified swiss with a cut to top8?

2. Who is judging your event?

3. Do you keep any "pimp" legacy cards in stock? FBB duals, hard to find foils, foil jap stuff, etc?

Thanks

Reply to Rancorous Fool:
Glad to hear it, the Rochester area is known for having a solid legacy community and the commute to Elmira isn't bad at all. Answers to your questions below
1. yes and yes
2. TBD
3. We get new things in every day. About 4 months ago we thought it was vital to turn the majority of our "pimp" stuff into normal Legacy staples so that we could help build and grow the Legacy community in Elmira.

Sweet, thanks for the quick response and will the top8 be playing our for position?

IE if you lose in top4, you play the other loser for 3rd/4th?

And if you lose in top8, play for 5-8?

Edit: I am just trying to think why someone with the same record would get 2.5 times as much prize as someone else based purely on the luck of who their opponent happened to be.
