Hi there,
I played my first Modern tournament last weekend going 4/0/0 with Living End.
I beat G/b Pod, Jund and 2x Counter Cat (the version of Pro Tour Philly).
This is what I ran:

3 Jungle Weaver
4 Valley Rannet
4 Deadshot Minotaur
4 Monstrous Carabid
4 Street Wraith
//19 Cycler

4 Violent Outburst
4 Demonic Dread
//8 Cascade

3 Beast Within
4 Shriekmaw
4 Fulminator Mage
//11 Removal/Disruption

3 Living End
//3 End

4 Verdant Catacombs
2 Forest
1 Mountain
1 Swamp
1 Stomping Ground
4 Copperline Gorge
4 Blackcleave Cliffs
1 Blood Crypt
1 Overgrown Tomb
//19 Lands

//SB
4 Kitchen Finks
4 Ingot Chewer
3 Mindbreak Trap
2 Dismember
1 Dryad Arbor
1 Beast Within

The deck seemed pretty well positioned in an aggro centered metagame. Only Countercat is postboard a though MU, as they get counterspell to complement their fast clock.
The deck does completely roll to combo and I don’t really know how it matches up against control decks but it does beat up aggro and non-blue midrange decks pretty handily.

Has anyone of you any advice for the SB? The maindeck felt really solid but I was often struggling to find relevant cards in the board. Especially for the CounterCat MU.

How often do you find yourself cascading because there are too many creatures in the opponents side of the field, and not enough in your graveyard?

Well, against aggressive strategies it's usually ok to do the first End on turn 3/4 to clean their board and get back only two/three guys.
With those guys you should be able to buy enough time to get up to 5 mana (really not that hard with that amount of cycling) and hardcast your critter.
At that point your guys should be bigger than theirs.
