1/16 Week 2 of Modern brought 12 players with Tim Gagne (Bant) splitting finals of 4 Marsh Flats and 4 Godless Shrine with Jono Morawski (Affinity).

1/23 Week 3 of Modern brought 10 players with top 4 of Melissa Detora (affinity), Dustin Taylor (Jund), Adam Tanner (Jund) and Jon Kubilis (Splinter Twin) splitting with $40 credit, 4 Sacred Foundry and 4 Arid Mesa.

Then we will be switching to $5 entry and double store credit payout, which we already do weekly for our thursday legacy.

We had 17 players for our final $10 modern and will be switching to $5 modern from here on out!

Top 4 split and for the first time ever we had the exact same four people in finals with Adam Tanner (Jund), Dustin Taylor (Delver), Mielissa Detora (affinity) and Jon Kubilis (splinter twin) splitting $40, credit, 4 Overgrown Tomb and 4 Verdant Catacombs each.

Also this entire top 4 is going to PT: Honolulu next weekend with the exception of Adam. Very talented group and good luck to them!

We'll be moving to $5 modern starting next monday and I will still regularly update this thread with who/what won. We'll be paying out double credit from here on out, so 10 players = $100 credit, 15 = $150 and so on. Exact same structure we do for our 7pm Thursday Legacy.

Thanks again. And don't forget our biggest Modern tourney (and hopefully biggest event ever ) is just over the horizon as we'll host PTQ: Barcelona on Sunday March 11th at the Knights of Columbus So. Attleboro! http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?22984-S.-Attleboro-MA-Sun-3-11-DHG-PTQ-Barcelona!-5-Dealer-Table-credit-for-playing!

Thanks for the support! And Go Pats!

Our most recent modern occured yesterday with 9 players battling it out for tons of credit.

Top 4 split consisting of: Connor Thompson (Jund), Tim Gagne (Jund), Dustin Taylor (UW Caw), and Jon Kubilis (UR Splinter Twin). Connor just came off a top 4 of the Boston PTQ the day before so congrats to him.

Speaking of PTQ's...

Sincerely hope you'll join us this Sunday for ours. I've plugged it just about as much as humanly possible, but if you've been stranded on Mars we're holding one this Sunday and it's going to be awesome (I'm biased ).

All entrants receive $5 dealer table credit just for entering, which I believe has never been done before. That means you get to spend $5 however you want at any of our vendors all manned by local stores (including mine).

Between this on Sunday and our Buncha Duals event on Sat, there's no shortage of Eternal lovin for all of you reading this in Magic's premiere eternal forum thesource

Really hope to see you this weekend.

Thanks.
