to answer the "Why?" up front:
Lot's of people are going to Vegas to play in the GP who don't have byes and who don't have tier one Modern Constructed Decks. And with Standard changing so fast and certain decks just seem to be very strong, we felt the best way for the rank and file to have a crack at getting 2 byes was to host a Sealed GPT to help level the playing field.
(if you need practice we host a $19 sealed every thursday at 7:00 PM 3 round tournament)
