Comic Town in Columbus is hosting a special event on 11 October, featuring a Vintage/Legacy split event on Sunday. Comic Town will be providing the great space, amenities, and prizes they always do. Plus, post tournament meals at great places like the Thurman Cafe!

The details:

WHAT: Vintage/Legacy! Tournament

Entry is $20

Six rounds of Swiss then cut to top 8:
- 3 Rounds of Vintage
- 3 Rounds of Legacy
- Top 8 will be Vintage

Decklists will be collected for both formats. The Vintage deck you register for Swiss will also be your deck for the final rounds.

WHEN: Sunday, 11 October, 2015 NOON (12 p.m.) ET

The store opens and registration starts at 11:30 AM. Registration will close and the tournament begins at 12:00 PM, sharp. To save time, consider typing or writing up your decklists ahead of time.

Also, this is an hour earlier than our previous Vintage tournaments. Don't be late!

And it's on Sunday! Don't show up on the wrong day.

If you need to car pool to Columbus, post your needs and we'll find someone with whom you can travel. I'll start a signup if necessary.

PRIZES:

GUARANTEED $300 CASH!

1st Place: $140
2nd Place: $80
3rd Place: $40
4th Place: $40

Prizes will increase if turnout allows!

PROXIES: UNLIMITED PROXIES will be permitted in both formats (Legacy and Vintage). This is to facilitate player entry for the event as well as transitioning between the two formats. (That is, you won’t have to deconstruct your Legacy deck completely if it shares cards with Vintage or vice versa.)

There are THREE ways of making proxies:

1) The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it.
2) PREFERRED! The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics. See: http://forums.starcitygames.com/viewtopic.php?t=291560 for more details on how to do this.
3) the third is to print out all 75 cards, and slip the sheet of paper into each sleeve. If you do this, every card must be proxied.

Let's do this!
