Well, the prizes have been secured and the date has been set, so here's the announcement...

Sign-up begins at 12:00noon
Tournament starts at 1:00pm
Format: Legacy, REL1
Swiss rounds with cut to top 4, or top 8 based on attendance.

Entry Fee: $10

Prize Structure:

1st = 4 x Unlimited Sinkhole (these are NM to Mint, beautiful)
-or- Box of Time Spiral
- or- $90 store credit

2nd = Unlimited Berserk (in excellent condition)
-or- $50 store credit

3rd = $10 store credit

4th = $10 store credit

5th-8th =2 packs

Top 4 prizes are guaranteed. For every additional 2 players above 14, $5 store credit will be added to each of the Top 4 prizes.

In case you haven't noticed, it's on a Sunday this time. All of you guys who pm-ed me asking for a sunday event...please represent. Cut to top 8 happens at just 16 players. See you all there.

REL 1? Aren't multiplayer games in your uncle's basement REL 1? Does this mean that floor rules and procedures will not be enforced at all?

Rules and procedures will be enforced. There will be, at a minimum, a Level 1 judge present to make rulings. Dave Rappaport usually shows up on his personal time to judge for us...I think he is a Level 2 or 3 judge who works regularly with Professional Events Services. If Dave is unable to Judge, Brandon, level 1, will be judging.

REL 1 is pretty relaxed. You'll usually get warnings before game/match losses are issued. The biggest pro to running at REL 1 is not needing registered decklists. I want to create an envioronment that welcomes noobcomers to the Legacy format while still offering sanctioning to amateur/pro's who are interested in the points.

Nicolo won with a weird rogue deck. The meta was also like 90% Threshold.
