Personally, I haven't seen anything new since the Lightning Helix and Zombify, which came out a few months back. The Helix was the last of that particular batch, and other than the WoG, nothing new has really been seen. Probably is the start of the new batch, like Hypnotic being the start of the last batch (and the only foil).

The Champs promo's aren't considered "textless", they're just their own little promotional deal set aside for Champs, the nickname they go by is "full portrait", I've heard, in reference to Niv Mizzet. Niv Mizzet and Electrolyze actually came first, and we've already seen images of Rakdos Guildmage and Voidslime. They actually have their own numbers to follow by too, so people actually know where they come from.

For reasons unknown I just received the following in the mail:

1x Foil Textless Wrath of God in packaging
4x Packages of 2 cards facing each other.

I open them to find these cards:

1x Foil Textless Wrath of God and 1x Spirit Token

I played in 3 Legacy events at Gencon, 3 FNMs, a random Legacy tournament, and 2 drafts since about June. I don't know how that equals 60 events, but looks like wizards just mailed me about $140.

It seems theres quite a few of the Wraths being sent out. Just about everyone I know got one at the very least and some people got 4 or more if they are regular players at the local store despite the fact it's supposed to be only for 40 points or something. I think I would cash in on those things quick while they are the rage on Ebay. They seem to be easy to get.

WOG is a money card. It is also a staple for playing T2 so I respect what they are doing by providing a staple but what does this mean for other promo cards? Hypno specters are meh but WOG's are HOT, is this a change in direction to make rewards cards much sexier.

BTW: TS Elliot wastelands rule. I have yet to pick up a set but it is only a matter of time before I pony up the cash...not because I like foils but because they quoted the man!

Actually, there are a ton more Wrath of Gods than Hyppies. In addition to being the foil reward card, they also seem to be included in the normal reward pool, which makes them 4-5x more common than past foils.

When the next mailing comes out, unless something changes, they will be very common (much less the third or fourth mailing). I'm not sure how low the price can go, but it should even push the price of normal WoGs down some.
