View Full Version : What deck should I build next?

I have Solidarity, UGw or UGr or UGb Thresh, The Rock, and Salvage Game, BHWC Landstill, UG madness, and RG Beatz built... now... what should I build next?

Rules...

I hate Control Decks except Landstill. I playtest Wombat, but I dont really like that much to warrent me playing it competitively. I like Combo, but I really dislike IGGy. Vial Goblins is too generic, and I really want to stay away from it.

At heart, I'm more of a aggro-control player. So Fuck Control. Anyways, any ideas? I like aggro control a lot.... a lot. ideas? Decks like Control Combo would be a nice suggestion.

I miss Angel Stax. I suppose 5/3 is a pretty strong fallback. I mean, less aggressive mulligans.

Angel Stompy's pretty cool. To me, it's a weird midgame deck, with tons of board control. I might debate on that.

Red Death is a fun deck. I burrowed that deck from a friend while testing, and my god it's fun. I also might consider that as well.

Anyways, thanks for the ideas. Anymore? because more would be nice!

Is there even a question? Faerie Stompy!

Fairy stompy would be fun imo as its open to customization and games tend to be different as opposed to going thru the same things every time.

Red Death's games are always alike, but that makes it consistantly good. Its the deck I'd play if I wanted to win something

I'm currently building 5/3 so iono how its like. I imagine it'd kinda like mono-brown stompy in terms of how it feels when your playing it... but blue prolly adds a lot more than mono-brown.

Dragon Stompy!!

In all fairness though, I'd say a modded Deadguy or Red Death would probably be more to your style, if you prefer aggro control. Faerie Stompy would be good too, if you can afford it and still keep whatever other decks you want built (unless you don't have issues swapping duals or FoW, etc).

Thought about running Meat Hooks (Control Sliver v2.0) or anything like that? I've playtested a number of games against that deck, it's got a pretty solid game right now. Absolutely crushes combo, I know that much.

Burn. Quite possibliy the cheapest, psuedo-compeditive deck out there. The most expensive card goes for three dollars. and plus it's a chumbucket full of fun

Hello,

Here is my top suggestion

Welder Survival. (This is a personal favorite of mine)

Also you can build

43 land deck
Blue Skies
and
Aluren (just joking)
My last choice would be reanimator.

Hope this gives you more Ideas

The EPIC Storm

Actually... I'm missing Burning Wishes. I'm almost done with that deck. Anyways, more ideas. I want to buy cards I dont own... I'm sure 5/3 is a pretty cool idea.

Welder Survival looks fun. hehe.

Contract Tendrils with the Man Plan SB

You should so give me a list. I'm sorta in my Storm deck obsession outside of weird control decks. I really like playing Pitch Long, Solidarity, and EPIC Storm.

Yay, I might get a Team Blitzreig Tendrils variant.

If you're into the whole "killing your opponent before they even lay a land" thing, you can't go wrong with Nausea... An average goldfish of 2.5 isn't bad...

I tried 5/3 before, and it was good when it worked, but had the uncanny ability to just crap out on you... You might want to test it first before building it...

Red Death is a great choice as well, or maybe even Deadguy with a little bit of modifications (upping creature count to 16 with MD Wretches)...

RBGSA obviously, it's a fun agro control deck.

Übermadness. Possibly the best deck in the format right now...

Try out the UWB Fish list Windux posted today. It is an Aggro Control deck which is similar to NQG but not the same.
Try it out. I guess you will like it.

No, but it's slow for killing them before they lay a land. For that, you want Contract Tendrils. :P Go, go, average goldfish of turn 1.5. Anything else makes me want to take a nap.

It starts with something like this (http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=27668.0). However, a more modern creature skeleton would be a little different, likely including color(s).

Thank you.

@Machinus: What colors should I splash into 5/3? I'm leaning towards White, since I get Exalted Angel.

Gro. A. Tog.

So much fucking fun. :)

That or UBW Fish (HanniFish, for instance). Solid and good times.

Both these decks look very promising if you enjoy aggro control. Psychatog decks tend to be the most customizable in Legacy, I would highly suggest trying them out because they can be built for all control, aggro, and combo builds and a few in-between.

I'm still gonna have to say Angel Stompy. It beat's the best deck in the format, and that in itself is so much fun.

HanniFish, because even if the deck fails you will still have some pretty good pieces.

I think you should run Its Mizzium Time
