OK, lately i've been trying to create an old style wildfire deck but with some personal choices.

The main concept is to deal the first turns with trinisphere, chalice and pyroclasm, while you develop your mana until you can play wildfire, and recover yourself thanks to crucible.

I added the blue to fit some drawing spells like TfK and FoF and maybe some good cards in sideboard (propaganda, wash out...)

Thougths?

//NAME: Crucible Wildfire
// Mana
4 Mox Diamond
4 Volcanic Island
4 City of Traitors
4 Ancient Tomb
4 Academy Ruins
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Great Furnace
// Control
4 Trinisphere
4 Chalice of the Void
3 Crucible of Worlds
3 Wildfire
3 Pyroclasm
// Others
4 Burning Wish
4 Thirst for Knowledge
3 Fact or Fiction
// Kill
3 Covetous Dragon
1 Karn, Silver Golem
// Sideboard
SB: 4 Defense Grid
SB: 1 Pyroclasm
SB: 1 Wildfire
SB: 1 Wash Out
SB: 1 Shattering Spree
SB: 1 Rolling Earthquake
SB: 1 Recoup

Strong wildfire shoudn't need draw, your better off trying to squeeze as many threats as you can into the deck. Supporting multiple colors is also a drag when you want to use fancy 2 mana lands and such. There was a create your own good deck contest finalist that is a pretty good base for a revamp of old school wildfire (though there were some improvments to be made, like using crucible and such).

Which contest is this? and how this list looks like?

Yes. That deck showed up before 5th dawn.

You should play burning of Xinye too.

I can't find the thread anywhere, but here is the list I played a couple of months back featuring a black splash for the local meta:

CREATURES (8):

4x Sundering Titan
2x Crater Hellion
1x Bosh, Iron Golem
1x Karn, Silver Golem

SPELLS (15):

4x Burning Wish
3x Decree Of Annihilation
3x Seething Song
3x Wildfire
2x Burning Of Xinye

ARTIFACTS (18):

4x Gilded Lotus
4x Thran Dynamo
4x Trinisphere
3x Crucible Of Worlds
3x Mox Diamond

LAND (20):

4x Ancient Tomb
4x Badlands
4x City Of Traitors
4x Sandstone Needle
2x Barbarian Ring
2x Mountain

SIDEBOARD (15):

3x Chalice Of The Void
1x Cranial Extraction
1x Haunting Echoes
1x Tooth & Nail
1x Tranquility
1x Burning Of Xinye
1x Decree Of Annihilation
1x Demonfire
1x Pyroclasm
1x Recoup
1x Shattering Spree
1x Wildfire
1x Hull Breach

It was pretty solid, with me losing to Ichroid in the finals due to drawing 0 Burning Wishes in 2 games with plenty of mana to drop Wish + Echoes. That's why you play the games, though.

It's a really powerful deck that does pretty well against most decks, and it allows you to do some really broken things, like turn 1 Trinisphere, etc. The biggest problem is inconsistency, and I could never find a draw engine I liked, which is what the deck needs to really shine.

I would recommend keeping it mono-red unless you play in an environment that is relatively Wasteland-free; Wasteland can already make you cry, and adding the second color can often be a liability in those scenarios. Just a suggestion.

There is a thread that speak about the same deck
HERE (http://mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4516).
Can we continue the discussion in that thread? i think it's better.
