Flagstones and shock lands

If I have a Flagstones of Trokair in play and I play a second one, I can search for two plains and put them into play tapped. If I search for a white shock land such as a temple garden am I then allowed to pay the two life and untap them?

I'm afraid that you cannot. Flagstones specifies that you need to put the land into play tapped and that is what prevails over the Shockland ability.

Strictly speaking, I think you can still pay 2 life, but the land would still come into play tapped because of Flagstones. Which of course, would be stupid. So don't do it.
