How does it? Does Chalice of the Void for Zero counter all storm copies? Anybody know?
No, because you don't play the copies, you put them directly onto the stack. Same thing with replicate; it can counter the initial spell but if they replicated it the copies will still go on the stack.
Edit -
Chalice reads 'Whenever a player plays a spell...' and Storm also triggers when you play the spell. So besides Stifle/Bind, once they play the storm spell it will copy. Summary; Chalice at 0 doesn't stop copies, and Chalice at 2 still wouldn't stop Brain Freeze.
Edit 2 - To answer the topic question, Chalice at zero works against storm because it shuts off their access to 0-cost acceleration, so any Tendrils variant will not be able to start off with its precious Diamond or Petal. ;)

Additionally, Storm copies have the same converted mana cost as the original spell, not zero, because Mana Cost is a copieable value.
