Creatures with power greater than 2 don't untap during their controllers untap phase.

With Goblins showing up less and less, I can see this as being an excellent sideboard card (not to mention a great card in multiplayer games).

It shuts down all relevent nongoblin creatures in the format, be they Red Death's or Thresholds.

Do you think the card is underused or can you think of any better alternatives to it?

I am certainly going to be trying it in my casual Elves deck.

I think it would be great against Threshold and AggroControl but they still get to swing in once. 2-3 swings with a tarmogoyf can equal game. For 1 mana though it's pretty hot. Why doesn;t Stax use it?

Edit: Maybe in a White Weenie of some kind, with Vial and Trinket Mage?

Why doesn;t Stax use it?
Because Stax plays Chalice @ 1 against the same decks it would want to play Meekstone, I'm guessing.

Nah, the card would suck in goblins, all it does is take up slots for a card that Thresh would just counter or blow up with EE. It's not worth diluting the threatbase. Everyone just forget I ever brought it up. :cry:

Did I just goblins yet another weapon against thresh? Thats the last thing I wanted to do.

Meekstone works excellently in a deck using Trinket Mage to find other answers and engine cards.

I think this would be great in a trinket-fish type of deck. Meddling Mages, Trinket Mages, Confidants and whatever else to lock down the board and generate advantage.
