I have a couple of questions about the deck. First up:

if I have a lotus bloom in the yard and a locket in play, can I cast the others in my hand for free without the suspend?

question # 2,

if I have locket in play, a Chalice of the Void in the GY, and one in hand can I cast CoTV for one mana and have it counter 1 mana spells as if I payed two?

Question # 3, Lets say I have LED in play and withought passing priority I discard cards successively without letting any of them resolve, then activate LED. The activations then happen correct? And I put the cards searched for in my hand.

#1, No, can't play it. {} - 1 ≠ 0

#2, Yes, 1(x) + 1(x) = 2(unmodified cost) - 1(Locket) = 1(cost to play)

1. Nonexistant mana costs can't be paid, so no.

2. Yes. After you determine that your cost for an X=1 Chalice is :2:, the modifier from Locket of Yesterdays will apply and reduce the cost to :1:.

3. I'm assuming you mean through use of Artificer's Intuition. So what you're suggesting is sort of correct. You can indeed activate Artificer's Intuition multiple times in response to one another, and then activate your LED with all the AI abilities on the stack. They don't just 'happen' at this point, however. Your opponent still gets a chance to respond to any given searches (In case he's, you know, holding three Trickbinds or something absurd like that.) Most of the time, however, each search will resolve once you both pass priority without responding to it, and you'll be pretty set. Note that this same concept works when using LED with Survival of the Fittest.

EPIC was all over this deck like a year ago. Just a heads up for those interested: it sucks in Legacy.

I don't believe so. In order to play the card, you need to suspend it first, unless you have something that can bypass this such as Mind's Desire. Locket of Yesterday's simply reduces mana cost, but doesn't fuck with non-existant mana costs.

question # 2,

if I have locket in play, a Chalice of the Void in the GY, and one in hand can I cast CoTV for one mana and have it counter 1 mana spells as if I payed two?

From SCG:

Q: This has been bothering me for a while, since I've gotten conflicting opinions from a variety of sources. Helm of Awakening lowers all generic mana costs by one. How does this affect spells that have a cost of X? For example, if I had two Helms on the table and went to cast, say, Fireball, would tapping one red allow me to cast the fireball for two damage right off the bat - or do I still need to tap additional mana?

I was reminded of this while sifting through the Mirrodin spoiler, particularly Chalice of the Void. I understand that the spoiler may not be accurate, in which case I will understand if you decline to answer - but how does the XX casting cost interact with Helm's of Awakening? Would the same two Helms in play I described above allow me to play the Chalice with two counters on it for free, or with only one? With any at all?

A: You figure out how much you have to pay to play a spell by taking its cost, then adding and subtracting any additional costs and/or discounts. Each Helm of Awakening gives you a discount of one. If you want to Fireball for two, you figure out how much it would normally cost: 2R, then subtract one for each Helm, arriving at R.

It's the same for a cost with XX. Figure out what effect you want, then apply the extras. Let's say you want to put 3 charge counters on your Chalice. The cost is 2 x 3 = 6, but your Helms will pay two of that for you. You'll only have to pay 4.

So yes.

Question # 3, Lets say I have LED in play and withought passing priority I discard cards successively without letting any of them resolve, then activate LED. The activations then happen correct? And I put the cards searched for in my hand.

I'm assuming you're referring to Artificer's Intuition here. Here's how it works:

Let's say you have 2 cards in hand, both artifacts, and enough mana to do whatever.

Cast LED
Activate AI. (1 card discarded)
In response to activating AI, activate AI. (2 cards discarded)
In response to activating AI, crack LED.
Get 3 mana of whatever (assuming UUU)
AI #2 resolves
AI #1 resolves
Do whatever

thats how I thought it worked, just making sure.

I wasn't exactly trying to make sensei sensei specifically but possibly with a way of going infinite by using LED with Conjures bauble, Library of Lang or something along those lines. Still trying to figure out the best way to do it. This is also a very neet card:

HA! Haven't used that card in years.

As a whole you'd think this deck would be pretty good, but it kinda meh. There are much faster combos in Legacy. Plus you kind of take away from the deck having to add in the protection needed to go off. I'd love to see this work but I don't think it's worth it.

I used to use that card back in the day, Lodestone Bauble is pretty neat too, kinda an Early Crucible. Tho I bet noone who knows me is surprised I use to use that card.
