About thEnd3000
Biography:
I am a long time MTG player and Legacy enthusiast, but I have only recently ventured outside my local playgroup, although I follow the legacy format very closely and play test my decks against all the decks-to-beat, so I am quite knowledgeable about the format.

My main dedication has always been to deck building. My main goal has always been to build relatively inexpensive legacy decks that are also competitive. However, as time has gone on, my time I can devote to MTG and legacy have become more and more limited because of going to law school and pursuing a legal career. Unlike many of my fellow law students though, I do not plan to give up MTG, and I still hope to be able to attend some events here and there when I can.

Since the card pool of legacy is limited, I believe that one way to keep legacy from dying is to expand the number of competitive deck options that do not require cards on the reserve list, particularly dual lands.

I find that playing home-brews has also improved my skill as an MTG player, because I usually have to compensate for playing relatively underpowered cards by adhering to solid deck building principles and through tight play.

Ultimately though, I think I just love being the underdog, and that is probably also why I like picking low-tiered characters in fighting games as well.

Even with my limited time I can spare, I hope I can have a positive impact on the legacy format. It seems like a shame that in a format where virtually all MTG cards are legal, only a fraction of those cards ever see play. You can call me crazy, but I think that with hard work, you can achieve almost any goal you set your mind to.
