Fixed that for you.
*sigh*
I came back to Magic to play legacy. I saw a great format with a healthy metagame and WotC wasn't trying to screw it up. The reserved list fiasco a few months back almost convinced me to...
I don't mind the 5cc creatures being playable, it's that each set has like 10 fatties in the high cc range that have a ton of abilities and some ridiculous p/t ratio. Fat used to feel special, when...
Don't forget to provide pictures!
Yeah, it's pretty stupid. I can't think of any games that I've played which start you at level zero.
Yep. I would hang onto Onslaught fetches these days, but Zen ones are everywhere. If you need them you'll have no trouble getting them.
Also, one of the biggest problems with Lin was that she was under the old legend rule and it was just brutal if your opponent got her onto the board before you did. Now you can just rebel up your own...
Yes, because that's how Vintage works, right? Of course Vintage failed in the end, so perhaps the proxy model is not sustainable, but the format did have a booming scene for a couple of years, so...
On the other hand, we know that another theme of the set is "creatures with defender," so I really wouldn't be surprised if, "Camp on some walls until annihilator dude," is a legitimate limited...
Whatever you do, don't sell them. But if you made yourself a set of duals, that's a set of duals that you didn't have to buy, so they stay on the market for someone else to buy.
Aaron's twitter post is a joke. R&D has been raking in cash hand over fucking fist for WotC/Hasbro with MtG. They couldn't ask for a better moneymaker than a game that's comprised of printing colors...
I never expected that WotC would announce something that would make me actually want to cry over a card game. This just ruins my day. I mean of all the ridiculous, unimaginable things for them to do,...
*chuckle* Whatever I've thought about Forbiddian from the last few months of his relentless NoGoyf spamming in every thread pales in comparison to my respect for the gigantic can of whoopass he just...
The one of the biggest reasons that legacy is an attractive format is that there is no truly dominant deck. Coming out of the gates saying that Dredge is the best deck ever made, has no weaknesses,...
Pridemage didn't make Dreadnought unplayable, but the main advantage Nought has over Natural Order is that it's faster against aggro. Since the most popular aggro deck plays Pridemages, it's a bit...
Oh wow, I didn't even catch that the first time, since I went straight to look at the legacy stuff. That's just fucking madness. Aren't ten mana fatties that nobody has used yet supposed to cost ten...
Counterbalance is an enchantment and Stax even without a Chalice is difficult because of Prison, so it's nice to be able to kill that too. Shaman is cold there and it kinda ruins the point of having...
Using Regrowth or Reclaim to go off again next turn is probably one of the more useful ones.
I just got an email from Channel Fireball advertising a "Legacy and Vintage Blowout Sale" with. . .
$50 Force
$50 Diamond
$50 LED
$25 Wasteland
That's one hell of an enticing sale, how can I...
Very nice! This thread definitely needs more playmats.
There were just like three pages of the thread talking about Iona. Anyways, long story short -- Lignify wrecks her and if you see her a lot, you can play a Karakas and try to draw into it.
Agreed on all points. I would not bring in GY hate. Also worth mentioning that pump in response to DD can be a blowout.
Is that real? (And if it is, source?)
I believe that you're misreading the card. It triggers on your upkeep, so it'll phase their team out on your turn and then dump them back into play for their turn to hit you with all of them.
I prefer Zealot as well, the deck needs consistency and having a 2/1 body attached to my possible Naturalizes is just nice. Also, I hate to keep dragging out a discussion about the nearly-unwinnable...
