Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Actually I think that's pretty good. I haven't been running Cabal Ritual and Chrome Mox at the same time, but I've tried them both and they both work incredibly well in TES and I could see a split...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I wrote a long post, then I came into the conclusion that it's too complicated to decide whether Decay is worth running over Echoing Truth or not without test results, so I deleted the worthless...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

No. 6 gold lands and 4 Lotus Petals have been enough for me, and if you can't cast it, you can sometimes imprint it for Chrome Mox for 1 practically colorless mana. If you feel that's not enough, I...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Most of the time, a Stoneforge Mystic searching for a Jitte means that he already has the Batterskull in hand, unless you're playing Elves or something.

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

No. You can't really have lands that can't tap for blue mana.

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Bryant: I think you might want to remove Gitaxian Probe from the list of cards that didn't make the cut, if you're playing it yourself.

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I suppose I could go to the ANT thread with my decklist too, but it is still much closer to TES than ANT. I'm running less lands than ANT, no Grim Tutor, Preordain or Gitaxian Probe, ANT typically...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I know I'm a heretic and all, but I haven't had problems with Maverick with my decklist, which is slightly different from Bryant's list and doesn't rely on Ad Nauseam that much (I maindeck Ill-Gotten...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I wouldn't usually rely on a single draw spell to find a win condition in a hand of seven cards.

Yes, Diminishing Returns is difficult, and most of the time you should avoid going for it as long...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I'd keep it if I knew that the opponent isn't running LD and doesn't win very fast. Which pretty much means that I would never keep it against a competitive Legacy deck.

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Could be, but is not. Here are all the relevant situations you are facing when you have an Inquisition or a Thoughtseize on top of my head:

    1. If your only protection spell is an IoK or a T-16,...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

If you have 5 mana available, Diminishing Returns should win you the game with odds of around 45% and this new card with odds of around 20%. If you have 6 mana available, the numbers are around 70%...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I'm playing 3x Echoing Truth on my sideboard, because Dredge is very common in my meta, because I hate running lots of singletons in the maindeck (with this, I mean that I side them in and then...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

TES has always been one of the best decks if not the best deck, but people often consider it too boring (because of the so-called lack of interaction) or too difficult to play, and/or weaker than it...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Yeah, but they couldn't tell if I'm playing ANT or TES. Also, even though the list in OP is well known, they couldn't tell if I have modified it or not.

If I don't kill myself immediately, I am...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

From 2 life, I would scoop em up (or rather, cast the AN and scoop after seeing if my opponent does anything in response or not, but before the spell actually does anything). The odds of winning are...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

A question to Bryant (which you probably have already answered elsewhere, but I can't find it with search): Is Orim's Chant's kicker really worth making it vulnerable to Leyline of Sanctity and...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

I run Ill-Gotten Gains in that slot, because I also am running Cabal Rituals instead of the Chrome Moxes for budget reasons (or rather, because I was in a hurry to complete this deck before a...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

You shouldn't ever be running a card just to side it out in games 2 and 3.
