I think you're right. One of U/B reanimators strengths is that you can fetch 1 basic swamp and 1 basic island and pretty much run the entire deck.

If your gonna splash red for removal isn't it better to just run lightning bolt? however, i could potentially see the use of having an extra counter spell or careful study.
