Not be brash, but this card is fairly obvious a spec target ever since Theros block was announced. How could it not be a popular casual appeal?

In all fairness, it's best to compare Strasbourg with Paris, and see a ~200 player increase over 10 months in basically the same geographical locale.
Likewise, Washington DC to NJ is fairly similar,...
Likewise, I also bought into another piece today, and mostly because it was a bit of arm twisting from SCG's buylist. Did I need it? No. But I'd rather get the piece now before the market stabilizes...
Firstest of First World Problems here:
The cost to buy my last two pieces of Alpha Power 9 just went up by about 70%.

Ok seriously what the hell. I can sell an Underground Sea I won a month ago for $200 to SCG at buylist. How is this possible? /headdesk/
So many jaded Euros in this thread. SCG actually runs a pretty tight ship, and yes some of their prices are high on a few key staples and popular cards. However, they also sell a lot of other cards...
I don't recommend this plan. You can put as little as 3.5% down but that also requires PMI, which has its own premiums on top of higher interest rates until you reach 20% equity. Using mtg to...
Depending on how it shows up in a sleeve, that might not be playable either. Creased cards tend to reflect their crease onto the sleeve, and the wear on the sleeve will make it apparent.
I want us all to exercise some critical thinking in this thread. For starters, when referring to TCGplayer or MTGStocks.com prices, also note the quantity available, or frequency of hits in that...
This used to be published, but was discontinued around 4th Edition. You can reference this at www.crytsalkeep.com. We guesstimate these values by how larger the MTG playing population has gotten,...
More aptly, Modern format happened and breathed new life into Tarmogoyf, extending it's "$40" premium and increasing it even higher.
Nice cherry picking btw.
Because every John, Dick, & Sally thinks they are big-shot MTG speculators that is entitled to earn a genuine profit on each transaction they engage in. There are far too many sheep in the...
I don't think any of us consider an English language Rishadan Port to be "pimp". Its price alone puts it above the "weight in gold" metric; and that's sad for a card that's not on the Reserve List. ...
Likewise, and having spent the equivalent of a Tier 1 deck on home repairs in one sitting, I can't see how people consider this to be affordable.
There are certainly people who make not be...
While that calculation is old and based upon Gold @ $1655 per troy oz, the result is still absurd. MTG cards worth >$94 are more valuable than their own weight in gold today (@ $1324/troy oz)
Card is bonkers, but only when you're already in a favorable position as a Shop deck.
The "gotcha" card for the set:

Sadly, they represent a larger market, and larger marketshare than Legacy can ever hope to become.
I second and confirm Commander has higher price pressure than Legacy. Nearly every dedicated Commander player wants a set of duals, fetches, and other one-of pieces. Mana Crypt is evidence of its...
"We've seen a recent trend for higher demands of counterfeiting. We're answering that by further increasing our prices on Eternal staples."
Well, I foresee much more business Chinamen will be...
On the converse, I can't see that in a small volume market, liberating the extra playsets will legitimately lower their price. Top 10 most played card is still in high demand.
And your gripe is...?
Look, why should we be all up in arms if someone buys up all the Bugatti Veyrons for inflated prices?
You should be worried if someone was buying up all the Honda Civics...
I've seen some Revised counterfeits. Looks pretty food if you're handling it in a sleeve. Who said you had bring BB cards only?
More to the point, it's very easy to spot the blue between the card stock when you know how to find it.
