    Re: [SCD] Vault Skirge

It's fantastic in Stompy decks of all flavors.

It gets around Chalice for 1, and yet remains a great play off a basic land turn one.

    It gains life back rapidly.

    It's a great equipment...

Sticky: Re: Could we collaborate to compile a download set of legacy decklists for MWS & OCTG

Thanks for the suggestion. Glad you like the thread.

I updated the title as per your suggestion, I will contact a mod about changing the name of the thread officially. Thank you.

    Re: [Deck] The Gate

You could always play Hunted Horror with Mask, and Stifle as well. Stifle and Mask both combo beautifully with Hunted Horror and Dreadnought and hell, maybe even Hunted Phantasm and Trickbind.

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

Anvil is not a bad suggestion, but it takes too long imo and it also helps your opponent draw into hate before it helps you draw into creatures to bin. If it somehow let you draw and discard a card...

So is Kazuul better than Arc Slogger?

I'm trying to figure out which card to maindeck (don't have room for either in the sideboard). Would you maindeck Kazuul before maindecking Arc Slogger.

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

    Question:

Say the opponent has a Leyline of the Void in play.

I cast Turbulent Dreams discarding an Iona in order to bounce the Leyline to their hand.

Does the Iona end up in the yard, or is...

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

That's a bit of a stretch imo. LDV is no where near as powerful as Mystical Tutor.

You are paying life (which sucks with Reanimates) and also limiting your tutoring to turn 2.

    A turn one...

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

That's a good point. Though to be fair, he can be killed with a Gempalm Incinerator which every goblin deck I've ever faced ran as a four of. But nevertheless, he is undoubtedly strong against...

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

I'm more impressed by the fact that such a good creature can be hard cast on occasion, and doesn't cost you all that much life to Reanimate. But he dies to StP/PtE. Inkwell and Iona are so strong...

    Re: [Deck] Moon Stax

With Grim Monolith, Metalworker and Voltaic Key running free, I feel like this deck is due for a revival.
  11. New Legacy Meta = New Sideboards. What cards are you looking at?

I think the more popular decks now will include cards like Lands, Enchantress, 5/3 Stax, and a few others along with the usual suspects. Cards like Fairie Macabre and Mindbreak Trap can probably...

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

In my testing, Ideas Unbound was FAR better and much faster. It both digs for reanimate effects and puts creatures into yard. But it works so well in my build likely because I'm playing between 8-9...

Re: [New Deck] Mono Black Discard

I would play a one of Raven's Crime over Funeral Charm. It's better in the early game, before they get to the discard step.

I've used to discard as many as four-five cards with a single copy.

Yes objectively, Razormane is a stronger creature.

But I think the argument is that in this particular build of the deck, with absurds amounts of mana to play with thanks to Metalworker, Grim...

    whienot,

Ideas Unbound is likewise an excellent suggestion. Probably stronger than Glimpse in fact. I can't believe I hadn't noticed this card before.

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

Those numbers do not apply to how I'm using Glimpse. Yes, in Rex's build, where he doesn't already play 14 Reanimate effects, and effectively 14 creatures and 14 discard effects, you need the...

    Re: [Deck] B/U Reanimator

Whoa. Glimpse the Unthinkable is not a bad idea at all.

It's basically a 2cc Entomb!! Or to put it better, a 2cc Buried Alive.

Yes, it's not as flexible as Intuition unfortunately. But still,...

If nothing else, atleast banning this card is consistent.

1cc and 2cc tutors have always been overpowered, and have been restricted in vintage and legacy.

I fully agree with the banning of Mystical Tutor, eventhough it neuters my favorite deck (Reanimator).

Re: [New Deck] Mono Black Discard

This list looks really awesome. The only card I'm not sure about is Sign in Blood. It seems iffy.

Another card that I LOVE in this deck is...
