Hymn would be 4 mana to cast, at which point the impact might be already quite diminished. You're probably better off with casting stuff StP, Bolt, AD, Brainstorm and other cantrip shenanigans...

It also turns off targeted reanimation spells (this includes Dread Return, as far as Dredge is concerned) and Loam. Looks like a excellent card in decks that can utilize it properly.
