Some ANT players play "grinding station" mode with sensei's top, so pithing can be useful. However, i wouldnt play pithing vs ANT
I have been testing some bug delver versions with and without mongoose, gurmag and tnn.
What do you guys think about this list? (No tsrmo, tnn aproach)
4 delver
4 drs
3 tnn
3 dark confidant
...
That list is so nice, but in a determined meta. Good vs miracles, combo and blue decks and weak vs creature decks, specially eldrazis and dnt (a nightmare)
In my experience, Lands, Miracles and big mana decks (aggro loam, nic fit) are our worse matchups
Why are all lists running Crucible of worlds instead of life from the loam? Loam has less cost and can do the same function
Yeah you are right. My meta is lots of blue decks (tempo, miracles, ANT and SnT are the most popular), some lands and a few DnT (my nightmare xd) so i like the stifle build. For that i want to tune...
Make a few changes in the BUG tempo anti miracles deck
4 Abrupt Decay
4 Deathrite Shaman
4 Delver of Secrets
2 Dismember
4 Verdant Catacombs
4 Ponder
4 Stifle
4 Polluted Delta
I agree with this. Is what i mean, better explained by Luca. However Agrippa gave a good point with strixes being good therapy folder.
About strixes: They are just ok vs DnT. They dont have big monsters except mirran crusader (unblockable by strix) and first strike dudes hurt too, so probably they dont worth to be included in games...
Thank you! What do you thing about it? Its very fun to play, just d&t feels miserable
Hi, i have been playing a BUG Delver list that i saw in Mtggoldfish and I just like it a lot. Today I played a 60 people tournament, ended 4-2. Here is the list:
4 Deathrite Shaman
4 Delver of...
Maybe you are right, i just see it like Grixis is the aggro deck and has to close the game soon before Bug player draws anything (a sweeper?) and the fun ends xd
Currently playing the Mongoose version posted a couple pages above. So funny deck, althought DnT is an impossible matchup. I have to try playing vs Miracles, cause this deck is a Miracles-killer.
...
Yeah i see it the same way. However, i meant the situation when grixis player had 3 tokens and a YP and a DRS and the BUG player had a Tarmogoyf. I think attacking with all three tokens is the best...
I have another thing to talk. In G1, why Grixis player didnt attack with the elementals? he could get some dmg from it and dont need to draw the bolt
Yesterday i tested winter orb vs shardless bug and it gives me games 2 and 3. Pretty good if u combine it with a gurmag. Both games he didnt have drs ir i could kill him. I played just one matchup so...
Baleful is great vs big creatures decks, as Eldrazi or Reliquary decks, and good vs creatures decks as delver decks, shardless and D&T.
Winter orb is great vs all grindy matchups, as Lands,...
Think that MD you only need black for gurmag and DRS activations (and cabal therapy if u play them). Tropical acts like the 3 U. sea when u want to cast DRS. Also, is nice when you have 2 volcs and...
It depends on the metagame i guess. In a miracles and eldrazis world AD is very good, but at the cost of losing punch vs combo and mirror.
I was skepticall about Decay for obvious reasons (it makes your mana base, land selection a lot worse) but trying a list similar to Peter White's (undefeated top 8 in a 300 players event) i realize...
Well, it has sense. Im currently playing the 2 decay 0 stifle version and im loving it. The list just lose some punch vs storm and maybe delver decks. Grindier matchups get a lot better, and there...
It depends on your deck configuration. As u play 4x stifles, you maybe are more commited to play tempo. Lists than dont play stifle can switch to grind plan better.
Yup but cavern of souls is a thing too... I personally prefer cabals
And what about D&T. The cards coming in are obvious, but what cards u get out?
