    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Depending on your deck config, goblins could be from helluva hard to outright easy. The game plan is either locking them, or stalling the board to produce a game ending entreat. The first could be...

    Poll: Re: Poll: Reserved List

There's a solution, which I think gets around the Reserved list.

Don't reprint stuff. Just release an additional print run of, say, Revised. Old frame/new frame, whatever. A great opportunity to...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

There're 3 ways to beat jund (as any other midrange deck)
    1) Destroy their mana
    2) Be very fast
    3) Run trump spells and avoid bad trades to survive.

    While 1) and 2) totally aren't about...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Yes you can. When you run a bunch of conditional stuff that doesn't do shit half the time (e. g. c/b has no impact on board, has a hard time countering 3cc and 4cc, bloodbraid and confidant/liliana...

Sure, now if only that statement had any rationale behind it. Anybody could say that %cardname% isn't a thing in legacy. Or that %username% has no clue of legacy. You know, its so tempting right now.

    Re: Jund

I'd have to wholeheartedly agree there.

BBE is not quite enough against blue decks (though its good!). You're certainly losing some games to JTMS if you don't run Pfires - its not too uncommon,...

RIP + Field stops them cold game1. Postboard, they only have what? Only a few pyroblasts in most builds.

    Re: Jund

My take on jund recently has top8ed a 90players tournament (5-0-2 swiss), losing to maverick in quarters due to some misplays.

    4 Verdant Catacombs
    1 Mountain
    4 Wooded Foothills
    2 Bloodstained...

Built that list for local tournaments (it went 4-0, 3-1 and 4-0). Seems to work fine, though sideboard needs some tuning against...

    Re: [DTB] GW/x Maverick

For god's sake, people, why are you not running Gaddock Teeg in numbers? It shuts down up to 15 cards in Miracle deck, all their sweepers, and all their winconditions - basically everything relevant...

    Re: [DTB] GW/x Maverick

    Not that hard to ensure.

    a) You maindeck 4xTalia 1xTeeg, 2xCavern
    b) You Sb 2xTeeg, 2-3x Needle

You grind them out postboard so easily. If you manage to land needle on top, their fighting...

    Re: [DTB] Reanimator

There's no reliable way to beat gravehate postboard, no matter what antihate you run. There's too many of it, and its too different. I guess the best shot you have here is to run a total conversion...

    Re: [DTB] Blade Control

It wasn't, so far (unlike in UWR case when I tried lavamancer). As you see, I run only 4 duals, and generally 2 ponders ~= an additional land. Its usually fine to burn a turn 1 ponder to find a land...

    Re: [DTB] Blade Control

Do not splash for Mancer, people. It requires a heavy commit on red so early - it makes for very awkward situations with your manabase. I've tried, and much too often I was getting punished. So, you...

    Re: [Deck] UW Tempo

A whole lot of blue 16 cards for Force of Will, which is close to unplayable, since Brainstorm is so important in the deck, and you never want to pitch it.

    Re: [DTB] Blade Control

You'd also want it against RUG.

The thing is, you couldn't afford to play real Wrath because of soft counters in Merfolk and RUG. Now you can, and that should improve on other matches where you...

Note, MDG has a free shipping coupon promo on their facebook page. Just ordered another batch of 10 packs, saving $14 on shipping (yeah its expensive overseas).
  22. Re: Experiences with Saf-T-Gard Sleeves? [Bonus: Rant!]

Errm, didn't I say so in my review? I think I did.

Played a tournament with double sleeved MDGs. No splits, no problems and no noticeable signs of wear yet. Been very smooth in shuffling.
  23. Re: Experiences with Saf-T-Gard Sleeves? [Bonus: Rant!]

So, I got a batch of 10 packs of Mayday Games Sleeves (MDG).

They're evenly cut: I've compared the sleeves from these packs and they seem to be of the same length.
    Good quality - they just...

In the meanwhile, I have a batch of those coming:
