    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

Congrats on your finish! Assuming the version of UR you are referencing is the prowess version with Stormchasers over Pyromancers, the matchup can be tough for Grixis because Grixis is naturally...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

I used to board in 1 Smash to Smithereens against Shardless when that was popular and I was playing more UR Delver. However, only 4 artifacts tops is not a great place for Ancient Grudge if the...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

A couple of Wastelands can be devastating for the opponent. Use what you see from Gitaxian Probe to inform your decision on what to hit with Wastelands. I generally like to attack their splash...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

I built and played a list very similar to this one way back in February this year, as I thought that Therapy Grixis Delver was just not good enough in a metagame full of Miracles, Aluren, Food Chain...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

How many Pyromancers are you playing? If you are playing 3, you probably want some number of Therapies in your sideboard, but I am not so sure about running Therapies in the side with only 2...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

If you are expecting lots of Burn, Belcher and DnT, you don't want Stife. Stifle is great against Belcher, but against burn and DnT, Stifle is pretty hit or miss. This also brings me to a point I...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

Playing the Pyroless build of Stifle Grixis Delver, I am playing Probe as mostly a filler card. It has never done anything truely impressive, however it has not been a card I actively don't want in...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

I don't really like using Stifle on Stoneforge Mystic activations unless they are threatening a Jitte and equip and swing with Jitte.

I like saving Stifle for potential Baterskull living wrapon...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

I don't have much experience in the matchup, however I do know that it will be challenging to deny their mana with 7+ mana dorks. The Stifle + Wasteland mana denial package along with Daze become...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

I like Izzet Staticaster and Grim Lavamancer as slow sweepers, and they are very effective at killing what you want them to kill. As for real sweepers, I would play Fire Covenant or Sudden Demise.

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

Yes, I do see way the Stifle is almost Mindbreak Trap. It still is worse than Trap against storm, but is more versatile.

I honestly think Therapy is just great against combo matchup in general,...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

I have had very positive experiences against combo in general. I don't think Stifle is Storm hate at all, however it is more disruption that they must answer.

Elves is quite different, but I...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

    Storm meets Stifle. Enough said.

As for many other combo decks, pressure in the form of Delver, Pyromancer, Angler, etc. backed up by counters is generally just a tough task for combo decks. The...

    Re: [DTB] Grixis Tempo

On Ponder vs Deathrite Shaman on turn 1. I would lead on Deathrite, because of a few reasons. Firstly, you are playing a Delver deck, you want to be proactive. Secondly, if Deathrite sticks or gets...

    Welcome Mike!

In any Delver mirror in general, I like to keep in as many Dazes as possible. Winning a Daze war on turn 1 can often dictate the game all on its own. Whoever wins a Daze war on turn...

I have had the frustrating experience of when my opponent in the mirror match kept a hand with 4 lands. Keeping a hand with a lot of lands will allow you to cast your spells through a lot of mana...

    Re: [Deck] Grixis Tempo

    Re: [Deck] Grixis Tempo

The move to Stifle has been a definite meta call. With all the grindy BUG decks running around Stifle is a great way to hedge against them. Stifle + Wasteland is really punishing for them because of...

You could definetely try Sudden Demise against Elves. It is also excellent against Death&Taxes. I see it as an improvement over Sulfur Elemental due to its wider range of application. But that is up...

How have you found Chandra? I'd like to hear your opinion on her. As for me I just don't think you want a clunky 4 mana threat in your deck much less in your hand. It's just that it can be very hard...
