I honestly think the hardest part a wish list is the sideboard. Figuring out how and what and numbers is the most difficult part about tweeking a list. I would like to cut a mox myself, but as you...
Sorry chancellor didn't pan out for you. Did you side it in against thoughtsieze on the draw? I saw this was your biggest problem.
Obviously bad hands will happen regardless of the build or deck. But having a card that is dead more often than not is bad, let alone the fact that we are talking about a deck that is trying to go...
@ bahamuth: Do you read what you type? The entire point the deck exists is because of consistency. Saying metalcraft is moot is absolutely absurd. Secondly, you said yourself there will be hands...
Obviously reusable sources are ideal, but its still not going to have metalcraft consistently. And mentioning monolith only hurt your argument. And wouldn't manamorphose be the first thing you cut?
Its called math. You just need to find the odds of drawing a mox with 2 other artifacts, and belcher doesn't count because you usually need belcher for metalcraft to cast itself. Having that many...
If you do a number crunch, you will find its still not viable.
True. I had actually forgotten that point.
Library is what I would run. Paired with carpet, you have good late game.
I still advocate guttural response, it does what you want from pyroblast, but can be cast off of ESG
I have been on the fence on cutting a mox, but it is a hard source. Chancellor is a personal choice, I don't expect everyone to like it, but it works well for me. As for pyroblast, i have NEVER...
After more testing, this is what I am settling on (at least for now). This is my "WUBRG" Belcher list. I have made it to where the main functions optimally in terms of the first 7 cards with the goal...
I currently do. It also is ideal to tutor for tendrils over belcher when you don't have taiga. And you don't have to have ten mana to tendrils, just most games.
If you know it's coming, yes. Most games, my opponent(s) just set up their game plan. And if not with her, I do run tutors. Also, the amount of spot removal in edh is laughable
This is my combo version of the deck. I use quick mana excel to get my commander, Maralen of the Mornsong out asap. My first tutor is for Ad Nauseam , which i will also attempt to play asap. Given...
Other points on chancellor and monolith:
Chancellor can be a win condition. There have been multiple games where I had no other win conditions, 7 mana and chancellor in hand. Game 1 this is a...
I have recently started testing a Land Grant in the side as a wish target. It was originally suppose to just be to test different numbers in the deck, since i seem to get multiple land grant/ land...

Had to share the new glimpse. Thoughts? At the least, it will make this a modern deck.
Though I understand the theory behind cantrips, I am jaded by them because they tend to screw me more than not, hence the list I have been working on that runs 0 cantrips.
Chancellor of the annex, infernal tutor and sylvan library should be listed as side options, I have also seen multiple lists side in a basic for forest.
Not usually, I consistantly get 5 to 6 storm, and the consistency of the opening hands. As for chancellor being dead after turn 1, all we care about is the opening 7, the wish board is just a narrow...
After more testing, this is what I am settling on (at least for now). This is my "WUBRG" Belcher list.
Artifact: 18
4x Chrome Mox
4x Goblin Charbelcher
2x Grim Monolith
4x Lion's Eye...
This. Chances that a single duress, inquisition or thoughtseize will stop us are minimal, but still existent. And as I said before, this is games 2 and 3. Most decks that run any of these in the main...
That's why I have ten sb cards for fow and 8 for thoughtseize. Also there is a 100% chance they know what we are playing game two. You also forgot to calculate the chances they have a blue card to...
Anything but blue!
