I just watched Andrea Mengucci's latest video with MonoU OmniTell (yes, I am a bit late I know).
That made me wonder what the strengths of this version compared to the classic UR Sneak & Show...
While I appreciate the heads up sadly that particular match was not as instructive as I had hoped. I mostly learned three things:
- As the Miracles player, be careful what you click when Search for...
While we are talking about experimental new cards ...
Has anyone tested Abrade in a Miracles sideboard (or maindeck?) yet? It seems like an ideal hedge card, like when you don't know whether your...
My first thought when someone mentioned trying this card in Legacy was that in a format that has Abrupt Decay and more importantly Wasteland this seems like a bad choice, especially in a deck with no...
Was that the Mentor Miracles list with Daze, or a more conventional build?
So what would you consider the best strategy to fight Czech Pile and friends with UWr Miracles?
- Enough Red Blasts in the board, as well as Blood Moon?
- Which win condition, Entreat or Mentor?...
Since Johannes Gutbrod in the interview after his MKM win in Prague mentions that Blood Moon is particular strong in (some of) the harder matchups, have you considered moving it to the maindeck?
...
Regarding your sideboarding suggestions, what is the reasoning to bring in Monastery Mentor in the mirror? I always thought that was one of the weaker matchups for that card.
I think if you want a creature in the board to exclusively shore up the DnT matchup, wouldn't Progenitus still be the best choice?
Could you elabortate what the reason for Green Sun's Zenith in the maindeck is in this list? Preboard all it can get is noble Hierarch and Glistener Elf, while the two creatures you want most if the...
Do you think this was a metagame call, or is Gideon, Ally of Zendikar a viable main deck win condition alternative to Monastery Mentor and Entreat the Angels?
I also like to bring in Blood Moon against Infect. Jamming it on turn 3 is probaly too risky, but shutting off Inkmoth Nexus for good after the first wave has been handled seems worth it to me.
Neffy, in your scenario what was the card pitched to Force of Will?
Could you give us a few pointers on how to beat Lands with your list? To me it seems especially game 1 is nigh unwinnable without a maindeck Blood Moon.
Also, have you ever considered going up to...
Everyone, I need your help. Urgently.
Our monthly shop tournament is coming up tomorow. Our shop meta usually is wide open with a fair share of everything, including some mean Chalice of the Void...
I would assume the main reason is that it can be fetched with Green Sun's Zenith.
It also is more durable. Say you redirect a fatal Push to your Spellskite, then the Spellskite is gone and the...
And how did you like it? :)
Has anyone considered/tested replacing the main deck Viridian Corruptor with a Dissenter's Deliverance?
Sadly it won't do much against Emrakul's Annihilator Trigger, but against ANT game 1 dropping Gideon of the Trials and getting that emblem should win the game.
Against any BG deck, though, Gideon...
I am not sure I fully comprehended that statement. If you are on the play, they play Hymn on their second turn and you try to counter it with Counterspell that will still run into Daze, won't it?
Against which decks do you board canonist? My guess is at least ANT and Food Chain, but they both used to run Abrupt Decay, at least in the past. Is Canonist still worth it against that?
What...
jdmdave, have you given any thought of working Predict into that Portent shell?
Not an expert by any means, but:
- Get Top into play before he drops Standstill. That way you can ensure you keep making your land drops without breaking Standstill.
- Once the Landstill player has...
I know of at least one person who does not think that the presence of the Miracles deck makes legacy tournaments more boring. Hence your sweeping claim is disproven.
And contrary to Aluren Wear / Tear does actually stop their combo.
