Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Originally I had intended to post this in Sui-Black but as said deck tends to be heavier on the aggro side, I figured Deadguy was a better place.

Does anyone still consider the old Bitterblossom +...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

@Mirran Crusader: Personally, I always preferred Phyrexian Crusader considering the static Pro R/W means that not only will it punch through KotR/Mom/Goblins but is also immune to the major forms of...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

As far as more Zombies is concerned, I had intended originally to run Tidehollow Sculler however my lists have traditionally always run several Nighthawks/'Stalkers, so I've just become use to...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Well, I wrote out this hella long extensive post however I somehow managed to exit out of the browser when typing thus losing my post. -.-' Well, heres a rough summary of what I said:

    Recently...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Something I've begun to notice is that with the vast quantity of people adjusting their builds to answer Maverick, the deck itself has slowly but surely been pushed from the meta in favor of greater...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Lol, yeah, that was somewhat of a typo on my part. ^^' Still, I tend to be favored in this MU post-board as they usually SB in Qasali Pridemage (if he isn't already MD), or maybe a little extra...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

True, but I myself have never been fond of the ET variant as I think beyond SFM our deck hardly has need of a ETutor toolbox. Honestly, how many MU is Ensnaring Bridge going to be insanely relevant?...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

    Overall a rather standard list.

To begin, I believe your manabase runs more basics than is necessary as well as it running more lands in general than necessary. Ours is not a greedy manabase like...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Albeit I shouldn't of used an absolute like "every," as my intention was in the context of the Maverick MU, so I apologize for the vagueness of my statement. However, I hardly think its fair to...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

By no means did I ever even give a hint of advocating Deathmark> StP. I simply said that Dmark might be a better option for Swords 5 & 6 over PtE. Nor am I denying the obvious power of board sweepers...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Indeed, the life gain is highly irrelevant for us. And even if you were looking for a supplemental kill spell, Deathmark would be much more efficient than either Smother or Go for the Throat. When...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

@ the Inquisitions: Unless you're faced with a great deal of combo in your meta I'd honestly rather see you run Hymns, tbh, as nixing 2 cards will, in the long run, be much more proactive in removing...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Hey, so, I've been playing Rock for the longest time however, as much as I love it, I have been having issues with consistency. I can't seem to play a build I like, be it GSZ or SF or just plain ol'...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

The point being that majority of the time it's necessary for me to reserve removal for opposing threats. Albeit dropping a 3-turn clock is always a solid play but if I'm assuming that he were to get...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I currently run Tombstalker and the opinion I have as to why some people prefer him is that he requires no extra cards to be used. Persecutor, whom I actually do consider the superior choice in most...

Is Domain Zoo coming back to the meta? xD

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Not that I would personally run it, but if you're opting for Knight of Meadowgrain, Student of Warfare might be a better selection. Granted you lose lifelink, but you get an extra 1/1 for the same...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

There wouldn't be a point. Gatekeeper's sac effect is dependant on it's kicker cost being paid. If you Vial it in, you're not paying the kicker hence no sac effect. Granted you could still run it...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)
