Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Yeah, maybe, cutting Bob to 3 is a possibility, but then I've got a spot for 1 Flickerwisp. Which means I would need to cut down other creatures as well if I wanted to get at least 3 Flickerwisp.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I get your point. I think this does go for TinFins and Belcher a bit, I guess (in case of bad luck, really, I wouldn't worry too much about those decks), TES/ANT not so much per sé, since it's slower...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Congrats on the win! Excellent! Regarding the resolved artifacts / enchantments; the regular D&T list has the same issue pre-boarding, so it's no surprise that this list runs into the same issues.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I see! That clears up a lot. I get your point regarding Arbiter. I think the main argument would be that he'd be flashable with 2 Vial counters, which is interesting. I do think he's still a non-bo...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I think this is gonna be my list:

    [LAND : 23]
    1 Cavern of Souls
    2 Plains
    3 Karakas
    4 Marsh Flats
1 Flooded Strand (or any white-based fetch)
    4 Scrubland
    4 Rishadan Port

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Now, this list I can dig. It's close to what I have envisioned.

Manabase: What I would do is really just play at least 2 to 3 Karakas. Do we really need basic Swamps? I could imagine 1 Swamp in...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Regarding the manabase, don't you think that 3rd Plains could be a Karakas? I mean, Karakas + Thalia is just really important in a lot of matches and seeing as you play Mangara, it's even more so....

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Maybe we can come up with some sort of list? I think, for it to be just as effective as D&T, you need the Wasteland, Port, Thalia and Karakas package. The rest is open to Scrublands, fetches and...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Yeah, I don't think a Vial build would work well. It works well for D&T because they have Thalia, Wasteland and Port, which closes the entire package. Merfolk has Standstill and Mutavaults they can...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Agreed. I therefore feel that DGA and Team Italia can be quite effective now in the meta filled with TNN's. Zealous Persecution is gonna do a lot for us, but we should not forget that Deathblade...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I very much agree, you'd need to sacrifice space for the Vials. The upside is, I think that Vialing a Bob EoT can be absolutely awesome. If he sticks around and nets you card advantage, Bob suddenly...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Agreed! Even though I'm not running DGA (interested in it), I do play Team Italia and have won many games off of the back of that singleton Elspeth. I prefer her over Hero of Bladehold due to the...
