If Tide found room for Delver would it be the best combo deck in the format?
I'd give my left arm for a Shock with Hellbent-Scry n.
Goblin Lackey, Goblin Recruiter (still banned in Legacy), Ravager, Disciple of the Vault, and Stoneforge Mystic come to mind. Metalworker was also banned in Legacy for a while.
Fetches, Brainstorm and Cruise are probably not okay to all be in the same format.
People complain about the penetration of blue in the format, but the difference now is that blue decks have enough easily-accessible hate to fight anti-blue decks like Dredge, Goblins, or Merfolk. I...
I still feel that banning fetchlands is the best way to change the Legacy metagame, people would tell me I'm an idiot. I'm not saying it, but I will strongly imply it. Nerfs half of the modern Tempo...
Ban Brainstorm unban Frantic Search. It's the only way.
Saying it's fine to unban Druid because it wouldn't break one deck is sort of like saying it's fine to bring a gun to a knife fight because a gun isn't sharp.
If you were to bring a gun to a knife...
Banning fetches seems like the best way to stop 3-4 color goodstuff, but then combo takes a huge hit too. I could totally be on board with fetch bans, but at that point what's stopping Goblins from...
Modern is a totally different format than Legacy though; Tarmogoyf would rarely get bigger than 4/5, and even that usually stretched it. Not many Sorceries were played in the format (the good...
I say they unban windfall. It encourages high-risk, high-reward combo. Wizards likes combo decks that take skill to play, right?
... Right? I mean, look at Storm combo before they printed Ad...
We actually semi-proved this when we did the CYOS tournament last year. I played Necropotence Rock and having to adjust my manabase to facilitate Necro ended up with me going like 1-2 or something...
I vote that Wizards unbans Worldgorger Dragon so all of the various cards I own that are components to the deck go up in price.
Either way, I learned my lesson with Monolith. I got the last one on TnT before the price shot up. Buying things on the Legacy banlist is never a bad idea if there's a chance it'll come off. Oh, and...
I still want Desire or Frantic off.
Especially since I have playsets of both.
Let's say Desire got taken off: How high would its price go?
Frantic Search is debatable in those decks. Although it would obviously make Solidarity uber-broken.
Gush, on the other hand, is way too good. When has a blue-based tempo deck not been a DTB/W?
