I think you're giving WotC too much credit. Eternal magic is not a topic that breaches their frontal lobes regularly.
They've long needed to let Legacy/Vintage B&R go and be managed by people...
I would thoroughly enjoy a 4 Chaos Orb Legacy.
Confirmation bias? You're pointing only to the Unlimited version to prove your point. There is no price correlation with Rev/4th with BnR announcements.

Sure. That's Unlimited though, whose price has more to do with its connection to Old School than Legacy speculation. The charts for Revised and 4th Edition are much less dramatic.

Gush would certainly enable some Doomsday combo. I'm not sure if it would be degenerate, but it would probably be stronger than existing builds.
I highly doubt an unbanned Gush would bring...
