Well the intent of MM was to put Brainstorm into check (as the mothership has explained), I dont thing we need a sliderule to figure this one.

Currently I'm playing EDH and Legacy... Vintage used to be fun until wizards made storm and it sucked the fun out of the format.

If wizards made Nacatl with dual lands in mind the cats casting cost would be [G2]. Without duals (ie: the setup) the cat would suck (so you need duals). Black Vise only requires a drop.

Sure you can go brainless, just pick a deck (zoo, burn, countertop, merfolk) omit something and toss in 4 Black Vise, it's much more of an acceptable then formulating a brainless deck.
