I don't find Miracles oppressive, but if it was, the solution would clearly be to unban Goblin Recruiter.

Nope, you know nothing. Please read and learn why Recruiter is banned: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?14662-All-B-R-update-speculation&p=882997&viewfull=1#post882997
I made that...
You left out this interesting part from the article about 'reasonable' consistency:
By extension, if this applied to Legacy as well, which is obviously doesn't, but if it did, then we were...
No. That is nothing but a widely spread myth.
Recruiter has NEVER been banned for "logistic reasons" in any format - ever. Please offer proof to back up this false claim, or stop spreading it.
...
Wait.. what? What the hell is a "BS-defender"? Is it a normal, active Legacy player?
I agree that Survival would be fine right now to shake things up. Let's have it back and see how it goes. Goblin...
Not entirely true.
Power level is one thing, but the primary purpose of the banned list is diversity - to ensure that there are multiple competitive decks for the tournament player to choose from.
Now there is a personal opinion... I have been playing Legacy since its inception, as you probably have, and I have never enjoyed the format as much as I do right now.
For the record.
Maybe...
If Hasbro ever wanted to kill Legacy, this would be the way to do it. My guess is that more than half the player base would instantly rage quit.
Why is this thread the most active on this website?...
Pretty much. This thread is the Brainstorm-hater/Color-equilibristic self-help group.
Take a break already. We know your point of view, do you think this is a shouting contest? Behave yourself, this is the internet.
Also, what if Grisly Salvage cost {B/G}, and had "Grisly Salvage...
Just attended 70 people tournament in Germany yesterday, the day after Treasure Cruise got banned. Man, it was nice.
The best format feels just right again.
This was the top 8: 2x Death & Taxes,...
Was hoping for a Survival and/or Goblin Recruiter unban. Maybe next time. Overall good news, I am happy.
TC gets the axe. That was expected and needed.
Worldgorger Dragon. Hmm. I mean is that...
I don't think so, not in the same way. TC cost 1 mana and gives you three cards instantly.
Jace cost 4 mana, and only a few dedicated control decks play it for that reason. And it takes Jace two or...
Treasure Cruise is really annoying to play against. If two regular decks are fighting for control and end up in topdeck mode, and one of them draws Treasure Cruise, the game ends.
It's just too easy...
Why, sure. I guess I should have said better cantrips. And I do think that is one fine quality of Legacy, and something that can draw more players to the format (from Modern, in particular).
I...
Of course, that is the challenge. A good deck is more than the sum of the (objective) powerlevel of its cards.
So much resignation in this thread. Shrug.
...
There is no strategy of mass cheap cantrips. Many Legacy decks of all colors play 5-10 blue cantrips for consistency, and this is great for the format. Legacy has the best blue cantrips of all...
I don't know about everyone, but I agree.
It would be unreasonable to expect total color balance in a format with 20+ years of cards.
It is perhaps a little surprising that every color is...
