I wish I was still in Danvers, it used to have such a good magic community a few years ago. Tell Benzo Edgar says "hi".

Don't be fooled, Standstill is still great. It draws more cards and more importantly, it stalls the game. Even it if Mystical Tutor was still rampant, Predict would still not be as good.
Plus...
I would go even as far as to say that tempo cards do not exist as there are only tempo plays.
This is just bant aggro, but I'm glad it got it's own thread anyway because it deserves more love. Here's a similar list I posted back in January:
// Lands
2 [ZEN] Misty Rainforest
3 [A]...
Braids has always been my favorite card so I'm trying to build a deck around her, and have found she does great with stax.
// Lands
3 [AQ] Mishra's Factory (2)
1 [ON] Polluted Delta
...
BC is just too slow, and bad, and we don't run enough creatures. Against zoo, the lifelink will not matter because it is too slow to get out. Unless you start with it in hand, you won't see it out...
I'd suggest trying curfew in the edicts spot. It can recycle Sprites, and it means a resolved iona on black won't lock you out of removal. Not to mention that the best place to send fatties is back...
Grip has been around for as long as Dreads been around, and while QPM is a real threat and played in two popular decks MD, it is met with many MD answers before and after its resolution. Grip is...
1. It can be played as fast as iona and kill one turn earlier, faster than Pro, and it's hard to lose to DD when you play with Wastelands and 6 stifle effects. Sure it can't protect itself, but...
I guess what I'm trying to say is that printing more cards, especially a judge promo run, generally DOES NOT by itself affect prices.
What DOES historically affect prices is a demand for the card....
History tells us it should stay the same.
Could one of you please let me know how you'd sideboard with that list.
I'm particularly interested in the MU's where you'd bring in the Blood Moon over the CoW or vice versa.
Where's the forbid? Forbid and CoW is your strongest late game defense. And are the Firewalkers really enough to shore up the zoo/gobbo game? I'm having a hard time imagining they are absolutely...
I've been playing toying with this deck for the past few days here are my thoughts:
-4 Fathom Seer seems like 2-4 too many. Let me say first that he has had his moments, like saving me from a...
Here's my build:
// Lands
2 [ZEN] Misty Rainforest
3 [A] Tropical Island
3 [R] Tundra
4 [TE] Wasteland
2 [ON] Windswept Heath
2 [ON] Flooded Strand
1 [MR] Plains...
I play 61 and it's been treating me well. I personally find that lightning helix is one of the most important cards in this deck in this format because it can take care of threats and buy you time,...
Hey guys,
I've been playing with this deck since Yan placed in the SCG tourney, a lot, and I think it's a absolute powerhouse.
I want to talk about my ideas about this deck, and my philosophy...
I know posting lots of random decklists in a tread is looked down upon, but my deck takes faeries in a different more tempo orientated direction.
Real Estate:
6x Island
3x Mutavault
4x...
Its just fine how it is
You're right about depths, but I believe Hexmage will see some play regardless.
A 2/1 with first strike by itself is not too bad, but the ability to kill planeswalkers, chalice, EE not played and...
As I said a page or 2 ago, one of fishes big strength is it's invulnerability to mana denial. Sure the tempo is nice but you already beat blue based decks that play goyf, and it pretty much takes...
You're so right about the vial/ss death sentence. As a TA player, I will try to counter the vial, then let ss resolve. play draw/go for a few turns until they start to discard, then eot brainstorm....
I must admit, Rule of Law is sooo tempting.
While this list looks cool on paper, you must ask yourself, what are you really gaining? Game 1 this list will lose to the mirror, is weaker against blue based control, which is one great reason to...
While there's a lot of people splashing for white, I don't think this deck would ever play brainstorm because, as you said, there is little room to squeeze the 'non-core' cards. And Vial and...
