    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

Thanks for the extensive sideboard advice!

Just curious why you're bringing in Misdirection vs Miracles? They don't have many targeted spells other than StP and blasts (post board). I'd think...

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

I think in the matchup, Stratus Dancer probably comes out? There aren't many relevant targets for it to hit and spending 5 mana to make a 3/2 that all their fliers can trade with seems bad.

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

Been doing some gold fishing and I was wondering - how does the deck deal with a fast SFM?

Other than FoWing it, it feels like we don't have much in the way of interacting well with a Batterskull...

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

I've been thinking on this one some more.

    A few questions:

    1) What are the Misdirections in the sideboard for? Primarily Abrupt Decay decks?

    2) Have you considered a white splash for SFM? ...

Also, how has Sea Drake been for you?

When I used to play this deck, I didn't like it because of Delvers + Lightning Bolts all over the place.

I approve of Misthollow Griffin :)

Is there any way to fit in like 2 Manipulate Fate?

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

@Apple713: I like the list you put up quite a bit (although the 1-of Daze is he only thing that looks odd to me). My suggestion on SoLS vs SoFI was mainly trying to generate discussion. While I do...

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

If you're playing that many Mulldrifters and Spellstutter Sprites, I'd like to see some SoLS in there to get some value back out of the ones that die (especially those Mulldrifters you Evoked away...

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

Really the deck's biggest enemy is itself (like all Stompy decks).

Yeah since all the Swords give +2/+2, all your X/2 guys are safe from Lightning Bolt (and the rest of your guys get saved from...

Pestermite vs Revoker vs Spellstutter: I like Pestermite & Revoker more than Spellstutter here although with Cloud of Faeries, Spellstutter might not be too horrible. Pestermite and Revoker are...

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

Pros: Like any Stompy deck, capable of very explosive and powerful starts. Having a curve that ignores 1 drops allows you to play Chalice of the Void, which really hurts many decks in the format.

Revokers on Top can help as well. Shutting that down really limits their ability to dig for whatever they need as well as keeps them from Miracling on your turn.

So we all are talking about the same thing, here's the final list I was running:

I wasn't complaining, I just thought it was a funny anecdote. I prefer the power that Chalice has in the meta right now and am fine with the risk:reward that playing this particular type of deck has.

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

Hah so I scrubbed out at Legacy Champs this year (1-2). The deck pooped in my mouth a little too early on in the rounds (I managed to lose a game to RUG when I had Chalice @ 1 & 2, etched champion,...

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

The main reason I cut the Sea Drakes is because they're terrible against RUG. Right now, I believe a 4 toughness is vitally important to survive Lightning Bolts and fights with Delver / Mongoose.

Thanks! Yeah last week in my final list that's exactly what I ended up doing.

The rise of Merfolk makes this deck a little worse, but it makes me even happier to have the Propagandas now.

    Re: [Deck] Faerie Stompy

The issue I've had with Mulldrifters is that at 3 mana, you'd usually cast a threat than a draw 2 spell. At 5 mana, I tend to want something a little more threatening (Jace, Equipment + Equip,...

I've liked Misthollow myself. It isn't a huge amount of pressure on its own without equipment, but none of our guys are. It's there to turn your early game card disadvantage into mid game pressure...
