The main thing I usually think of when I think of Slosh and storm is Bolt.
They're good against Miracles and the like - basically slow decks that rely on countermagic to stop you. A single counterspell that isn't Flusterstorm or Mindbreak Trap can't do much against a...
Let me guess: He didn't see the in-hand Tendrils coming, you just started going off and giggled at yourself for the counters upping Storm count. Then ToA=>GG?
Reminds me of some Vintage tournament report that went like: "I cast Llanowar Elves. He played Ancestral Recall, a slightly stronger card from the same set."
Advise people to board in goblins against us >:)
I'd say Blade, Maverick (though D&T prob. covers that already), Dredge (Manaless/LED) and, as said, Lands.
Wouldn't that Xantid thing be far saner against BUG than Bolt.dec?
Why would Silence be terrible besides the mana issues?
A deck called Punishing Blue should:
1. Play Punishing Fire
2. Be blue
4c Loam that plays everything but blue is not that deck. That name always was, and still is, stupid and should be scrapped....
2 Dreads feels like too little to me. I'd pack 3 at the least.
Dread is so backbreaking it's pretty much a proactive card, not a reactive one.
Go Slosh and play Bolt?
Isn't the logical outcome of these to move the Top to the board and put a Preordain or the fourth Cabal Rit back maindeck?
It's accurate though :D
3 Sea 1 Island seems better than 2 Sea 2 Island.
You want to figure out what you want to do and then go from there. Preordain is usually a safe cut, but:

Note to self: Do not bring engine combo deck you're horribly out of practice with to a session where you don't have much time. These misplays will haunt me ;__;
One of the reasons to play Elves is that we have an absurd amount of finishers ^^
A second reason is that our do-nothing cards beat down in those kinds of situations where neither player can really...
They also work superbly with Young Pyromancer and enable LED shenanigans. Would much rather side out Preordains as well.
Your hand wasn't interesting, it was a piece of crap :P
Would you keep:
4 lands
1 Petal
2 Duress
As ANT against anyone ever? Probably not. Same deal with that Elves hand. You need action,...
I think I said Storm was favoured game 1, just that Elves has a roughly similar fundamental turn with Ruric maindeck. It's certainly not a good matchup, just not a nightmare. Without Ruric it's a...
Are you rating Ruric Elves and no-Ruric Elves the same? Because their fundamental turn in the Storm matchup is drastically different. Elves have a bunch of quirky lines that result in a T2 NO, but...
Wait, can someone clarify? I'm super sleep-deprived and Arbor seems crazy. For Therapy flashback?
Deck needs more Natural Order.
EDIT: Seriously, though, I'm skeptical. But then again, I've played basically only Elves for a while now, so my touch on Storm is lacking atm.
Does a Sjöblom maindeck with a sideboard like this look horrible to you guys? Maybe Massacre in there somewhere?
3 Decay
3 Dread of Night
3 Xantid Swarm
1 Telemin Performance
2 Chain of...
