What's pimp is entirely subjective. So what you'll get is just opinions, like mine. You may agree with them or not.
To me, promos aren't pimp, nor reprints in general.

Cards that don't come from packs/starters aren't pimp.
In theory because you value more what you get from having them (as a collector, player or both) than the money you pay for having it (money lost+opportunity cost). That value is entirely subjective,...
Depending on what you are thinking about buying it may be worth buying cards already graded by BGS (but don't buy blindly, ask for scans too).
Well played.
Original foil Russian/Japanese.

Nice fetchlands. Old Simplified Chinese is so beautiful.
If foil, Mercadian Masques ones. If non foil... black bordered 4th Edition I guess. When in doubt, the first version. Reprints aren't pimp.
White borders may be ugly, but painting borders is just sacrilege.
I can't choose one, but... this is one of my favourites:

It isn't just a matter of being rarer. Otherwise, Portuguese, or Traditional Chinese, foils would be much more expensive.
That's subjective. But if there's a foil version of the same exact card (language and edition) it's hard to justify nonfoil being pimp...
Anyone knows why Back to Basics is rising? It's not even in the Reserved List. Is it being played more?
I bet they will rise soon.
That makes sense then. Sorry for misinforming.
I'd say Null Rod.
By changing prices the only thing that changes is who plays. As prices go up, only the most enthusiast will be willing to keep playing, either by paying the higher prices or by bearing the...
Dual lands prices will adjust accordingly, even if there's no buyout. I'd get them as soon as possible.
Sure, like those stories of people with MTG cards from the 80's... Cool story, bro.
Very nice :)
It's just a dilemma that I have, not something particularly directed to you. And I think that dilemma is one of the reasons why I would expect higher returns on cards demanded only by collectors than...
It wasn't a rhetorical question. I also love pimp decks and can afford/have the cards to build a deck as pimp as that Vintage one shown (with Alpha P9 actually), but I can't justify going to a...
What's the point of having a pimp deck then? Is it enough to have it as collection in a binder?
Finally a decent deck.
Do you want to trade your SCH Duress for a JP one?
