Re: How many decks to you play?

Pretty much this. If I enjoy playing something I'll play it for 2 or 3 events, most of the time I just build something new each week. The exception would be GP prep, where I'll pick a deck and jam...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

Can somebody who lives near WOTC put a giant "UNBAN EARTHCRAFT" sign in their parking lot?

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

I mean, I started Legacy on system combo decks, the more complex the better. Played a ton of different Storm variants, and High Tide remains my favorite Legacy deck of all time. Nowadays I tend to...

Does not compute. Chalice and Desire are probably my two favorite magic cards.

Re: A deck per week challenge

I would snap keep that hand especially if on the play. Perhaps you mulled too much sir. I always preferred red for Imperial Recruiter, but this mono colored list seems like gas.

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

If this was the case, the mono-red variant of Sneak - which plays a lot more Sol Lands - would be actually good. A+B combo requires Brainstorm to function smoothly, and Brainstorm is dependent on...

    Re: [Deck] Two-Card Monte

I mean, they have to have the removal, and they have to have it early (also, resolved Painter on blue makes Force a LOT better and really helps with the low blue count). This deck is explosive. ...

    [Deck] Two-Card Monte

Two-Card Monte is/was an old Vintage deck featuring two two-card combos in the usual cantrips/tutors/disruption shell. I decided to port it to Legacy recently because I like to play off-the-wall...

    Re: [DTB] Dragon Stompy

I would not board Leyline against fair decks. It is an uncastable topdeck and doesn't actually stop their plan against you - counter/blow up lockpieces and then kill you. It's fine against Lands...
  11. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices, Buyouts and Reprints Thread

The number of judge calls I have received courtesy of all-foreign decks at competitive-REL events suggests otherwise

Why read and digest entire posts when you can just skim for keywords and then yell at each other? "He said the internet was not used, doesn't he know this is the current year!? reeeeeeeeeeee!"

  13. Re: How would the printing of Angelic Spirit Guide affect the format?

I feel like you just opened a portal into a world where Trinisphere is cast on turn one and Lodestone Golem hulks out on blue mages. It's beautiful.

Legacy PTQ Top 8 with Imperial Painter

I scrubbed out of the main event at GP: Seattle badly with Mono-Red Prison, so I decided to give Imperial Painter a go for some side events - and if I felt good about it, the Legacy PTQ on Sunday. I...

Absolutely. In hindsight I wish i had played Painter in the main event, although matchups may or may not have been better. Painter is better equipped to steal wins from random decks due to the fast...

Don't sell your painter stuff just yet. That deck is still gasoline although you can't beat strong Grixis draws #bandeathrite.

Re: The current state of Magic

Really all I want is a Volcanic Fallout with "damage from [this] can't be prevented" or a Sulfur Elemental for blue creatures. That's all I ask.

Re: The current state of Magic

Maybe for once they can just print a bunch of powerful cards that aren't blue/don't slot right into blue decks. Or maybe world peace will happen tomorrow. I figure those two outcomes are about as...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

At this point I want either a power-creeped Fallout with "damage can't be prevented" as mentioned earlier, or a Sulfur Elemental for blue. Better yet, both of these cards. I would maindeck both of...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops
