Maverick is a poor depths deck and trying to lean on it to win in certain mus is a poor plan IMO
Also 4 of those decks can simply ignore it and swing through it

Nice temple gardens bro.
walkers are very strong against fair decks and can usually swing the mirror in your favor, if you expect a ton of combo, they are best relegated to the board, if at all.
Personally prefer Elspeth,...
What diakojay said, if a DRS player allows that to happen, you were probably winning that match because your opponent does not know what s/he is doing, the Loyal Retainers+Elesh Norn package only...
Short of pumping Knight, we don't have many ways of getting value off of the +1 (like Junk with lingering souls or Pox with it's pox~y things), nor are we jund and just apply tons of upfront pressure...
I hear Qasali Pridemage is good.
Of the fair decks, which is the most prevelant, if you expect a lot of rug, G/W is a better, it's mana is more stable and thalia is a beating for that deck, if it's Jund, Punishing is abetter,...
No offense, but I think you have to consider show & tell a little bit when your making your lists (unless it's simply not present in your meta...in which case, where do you live and how far is it...
In the dredge matchup, any exile the graveyard effect is good so long as you time it right, whether it be RiP or Tormod's crypt
BUG, rug and dredge where already decks maverick could beat fine...
Not gonna lie, I haven't dropped a match against Dredge with Maverick since I went to 2x scavenging ooze.
That and don't these decks run abrupt decay.
I like Fauna Shaman if your running maindeck Linvala, Loyal Retainers or any white hate bear as a silver bullet, or if you experience the mirror a lot. Other than that, she's been meh for me.
So uh yeah, despite my previous statements, I am actually playing punishing maverick (I actually want to give esper blade a shot, hillariously enough, I settled for maverick a year ago because...
Honestly, while maverick isn't that well positioned (merely okay), it's definitely much more playable now than it was 3 months ago when Miracles was what EVERYONE wanted to play, last I checked, it...
I would disagree with the lack of flexibillity, Maverick, unlike most decks in the format, doesn't really have a clearly defined core, other than Mother of Runes, it's a jack of all trades, it can...
Thanks for stating the obvious, want a cookie?
Most of the decks packing dread of night tend to be combo decks that you'd board planeswalkers out against anyways, just sayin :P
The decks playing Sulfur Elemental (RUG/UR and apparently Miracles...
He doesn't build a board state after a terminus like Garruk or Elspeth does, although he seems playable in a aggro matchup (mayhap the mirror?), the equipment are there to protect Gaddock Teeg.
Elspeth is much stronger after a board wipe though, they have to deal with her or she's going to take over the game real quick.
That and when did miracles start running sulfur elemental, every...
@Ajani, like in the deck, I don't think he's better than elspeth (Elspeth will actively build a board state, ajani needs a dude) but he seems good for what the deck needs right now.
Mother of...
