This was from a last chance trial for GP Seattle IIRC.
Grixis Delver runs Wasteland. Czech Pile can run Blood Moon.
A counterargument I’ve seen to Grixis Delver decks specifically is that they fold to Blood Moon. Sure, but many decks fold to Blood...
It’s always a treat when Lemnear and ubernostrum say what I was going to say before I do.
You missed the point. The point was: 4c decks shouldn't even think about running a card like Blood Moon. But the fact that they can and still not get hurt by it more than it hurting the other decks...
To add, when a 4c deck can get away with running Blood Moon, you know something needs to be fixed.

The number of times I've been hellbent with Grixis with no meaningful permanents except DRS and won the game >>> the number of times I've been hellbent with Miracles with no meaningful permanents...
I'd rather watch someone who is a master at Miracles dismantle their opponent over the course of 40 minutes than someone who literally just picked up Grixis Delver a month ago lucksack their way into...
This right here is what's going to happen. Maverick will try to make a comeback and be beat, Zoo still sucks, Elves might actually become a thing again (though according to Julian, he was already...
Fixed that for you. If you want to play a format dominated by midrange, there's one that shares the first letter with the archetype.
BUGx TNN + Leovold. Not that Miracles stomped over that deck (in fact, Miracles had an even to unfavorable MU against them), but now that the premier "doesn't target to remove" deck is gone, TNN will...
Only if I get an IOU for 3 months from now when you realize the metagame is going to look even more homogenous.
That's a terrible philosophy: alienate a large portion of the playerbase as an experiment? People have been saying "Legacy is dying" for years, but WotC actually just killed it. By the time WotC...
Eldrazi is still going to suck. What will you bitch about then?
Will Delver's metagame share go down after today?
It's still the cleanest answer to stuff like Leovold, Lili, Goyf, Delver.
With the format moving more towards slower BUG decks (as opposed to Eldrazi for a while), ETA became a lot better.
That'll be me in 2 months when TNN/Leo/DRS takes over the format.
Getting rid of ETA accomplishes the same thing and doesn't kill the last bastion of pure control because then Miracles players don't have something to durdle towards.
Enjoy Modern.
This seems to be hinting at "Miracles pushed aggro out of the format" and that's just not true. Bigger midrange creatures pushed aggro out of the format. Delver pushed aggro out of the format...
In this current meta CB does very little outside of keep fringe decks without an answer to that card from doing well; not that they'd do well with the card out of the format anyway. The rest of the...
And that's why I advocate for either a Mentor or ETA ban. ETA would probably be better because it takes away Miracles' ability to EOT draw untap win, which forces the deck to run more Mentors which...
Color me surprised. That said, I still don't think the speed of the format today would allow for WoG to come back into use. DnT has infinite taxes now compared to before, Eldrazi will kill you before...
Did WoG or Damnation see play before Terminus was printed? No. Legacy is too fast of a format for a 4 mana sorcery-speed spell that doesn't have some iteration of "win the game" on it to be of any...
We do have a clue though. The fact that an uncounterable 4-mana Wrath doesn't see any play goes to show that 4 mana is too expensive for a sweeper. The fact that Pyroclasm doesn't see any play goes...
