    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

Because this card can be abrupt decayed and countered without being able to recur it. Punishing Fire cannot be abrupt decayed and can be recurred if countered.

While PF can be exiled from a GY,...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

@iamajellydonut: Containment Priest is actually meant against Sneak and Show primarily. Since we don't run taxing effects (Thalia, Sphere, etc.) we have to attack them 2 ways: 1) their cantrips,...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

That's a lucky win against RUG Lands. Typically they do everything better than our deck. They are the better loam (waste lock) deck, they have move control for creatures via 3 Maze of Ith. They...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

Yeah, I had 2 golgari charms and 1 engineered plague which took the place of my 3 lilianas. I also sided out the COTV for 4 leylines against Young Frankenstein. It was just a matter of drawing any...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

I played in a 30 person tournament on Sunday for some duals and foil fetches.

I ran really cold but also made some mistakes, not what I would consider that cost me the game, but mistakes...

Nah, dropped him entirely. As great as he was, I really feel that if a creature isn't GSZable, then it needs to be a 4of ... and Pack Rat aint no Dark Confidant.

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

@aluis: I should tell you, since my testing with pack rat, I decided to ditch him for a 1 of deathrite shaman and haven't looked back. DRS is so great in this deck. If you are dredging and you...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

    Couple of notes:

    1) Putting a copy of show and tell and emrakul into a stoneblade doesn't even come close in comparison to putting DD + Stage in a 4c loam deck.
    2) By the statement you wrote...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

I think liliana is too good to give up right now. I also have experience with both the BW/DD build and the recent vers of the deck made famous at Bazaar of Moxen last year.

    I am playing a build...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

So what was your thoughts on Pack Rat? It really seems like it ate a lot of hate to allow us to push through better creatures. Was there ever a time where you dropped pack rat with 5 mana available?

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

Ultimately, my friend was saying that Pack Rats was a card you never wanted to draw where you couldn't play it with 3 spare mana or without the ability to untap with it in play. Which is why he...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

I know someone else took the path of pack rats based upon other people in this forum and has had moderate success with it in the following list:

    4 Dark Confidant
    4 KotR
    1 Scavenging Ooze
    1...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

Has anyone playing 4c loam played / tested the 12post (U/G) matchup and if so what were the results?
